From the front desk to the doctor and the medical assistants was a very comforting experience! I was a little nervous but Tina's manner made me relax. Dr. Zarrin, the anesthesiologist, and others were very reassuring that all was well. During the procedure, I felt no discomfort. Overall, it was a good experience.

I received a call and spoke with Bre. During our conversation, she mentioned that she did not like my tone of voice and stated that she would hang up. I would like to clarify that I was not being disrespectful in any way; however, I was being assertive due to the mixed information I have received with each call. Previously, I was informed that only the primary care physician's referral was needed and that my father's medical card was not required, as there have been no changes to his insurance and he has not received a new card this year. I followed up twice with my father's medical provider, who confirmed that the referral had been sent. During my conversation with Bre, I was told that no referral had been received and that a medical card was required. This conflicting information led to my assertiveness during the call. When Bre indicated that she would hang up because of my tone, I requested to speak with the office manager. I was placed briefly on hold, and shortly afterward, the call was disconnected. I then called back and spoke with the office manager, Tanya Vickery, to explain my experience. I shared my concern that hanging up on a caller, particularly when there is no disrespect involved, reflects a lack of care and attention that patients and families should be able to expect. I also expressed that situations involving frustration or assertiveness should be approached with de-escalation and understanding, especially when prior communication has been inconsistent. I was concerned when I was offered the option to return to the same staff member who had disconnected the call, rather than being assisted by someone else, as this did not feel like a supportive resolution.

What an amazing staff. Everyone was so nice. My sister had surgery there and is deaf. I was so worried about her also going blind. They were so reassuring and confident in their abilities that worry soon turned to joy. Surgeon top notch. Thank you Acuity eye group.

I scheduled an online appointment on Friday for my parents and took them to the location on Tuesday, along with my 2-year-old child since I was babysitting that day. After waiting for about half an hour, Breanna/Brianna informed us that she could not initiate our appointment and that we would need to come back again. The only explanation she provided was that the call goes to an Indian call center and they did not notify the office, so they were unable to proceed with our appointment. Even after I politely asked multiple times, she kept repeating that she "can't make me understand," without giving a clear reason that would help prevent this issue in the future. She did not take our check-ins or offer any assistance, even though it was visibly difficult for me to return again with my parents and a small child. There was also no apology for the inconvenience caused. When we returned for the rescheduled visit, the doctor Wesley Chew and other attendants were very calm, helpful, and professional. I hope the team can be more understanding of situations like ours and offer better support during such difficult moments.

Acuity Santa Ana was comfortable, clean and very pleasant. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant, professional and timely. My visit with Dr. Backman was extremely pleasant, she is very knowledgeable and was very forthcoming in all that my procedure would entail. She answered all our questions in a manner that was easy to process.,I'm a little apprehensive about the surgery, but very comfortable in knowing she will be my surgeon.

I had cataract surgery done on my left eye on November 12th, 2025 at Acuity Eye Group Tustin Ave. Santa Ana. My surgeon was Dr. Jessica Boeckmann. I am a photographer and my eyesight is very important to me. Something went majorly wrong during my surgery and now my vision is blury and I have millions of black floaters. At the first appointment I had with Dr. Jessica Boeckmann I felt pressured (it felt like a timeshare presentation) and I should have trusted my instincts. I was told over and over that they would highly recommend me doing both eyes and going with a lens that is $11,000 for both eyes. I for sure did not want to do both eyes (my right eye is my camera eye and I have no cataract in it and I see very well with it) and I kept saying no thank you to the upgrades. I really just wanted to do a single focal lens on my left eye only. Then Dr. Jessica Boeckmann even called me at home and did the upsell again. I finally gave in and I agreed to the Pan Optix Pro multifocal lens on the left eye only and I paid over $3,200 for the one eye. I was worried since both of my friends who are eye doctors (not surgeons) told me specifically to go with a single focal lens (my insurance would have fully covered). I just felt that a surgeon would have my best interest in mind especially knowing that my eyesight is crucial to me being a photographer. To make a long story short. Surgery day at the Surgery Center at Acuity Eye Group in Santa Ana. I was in a large room one patient next to the other all ready for surgery. I heard all the laughter and the conversations of the surgeon and the nurses during my surgery. Wow, there was a lot of chatting going on. Then at the end Dr. Jessica Boeckmann said very loudly, WOW...... FIVE MINUTES AND 58 SECONDS. Yes, that is the time my surgery took ( 5 min 58 seconds ). A patient who just had her eyeball cut does not want to hear that instead a patient should hear a surgeon say that everything went well. But obviously Dr. Boeckmann just cares about speed so she could move on to the next patient. Because of corporate greed and the upsell Acuity Eye Group is trained to do with every patient, I was just a person wo was rushed through surgery. Usually a surgeon or a surgery coordinator would call the day after surgery to check in but no Acuity Eye Group never called me. Instead I had an appointment to go to the Torrance location. I had to wait 2 1/2 hours to be seen the day after surgery in a waiting room with about 50 other patients, even though I had an appointment. In the meantime I have been seen several times by Acuity Eye Group at different locations and my vision is still blury (close up, medium range and far) and I have millions of floaters. I have been told that the wrong lens might have been used or the measurements were incorrect and it could easily be exchanged to a single focal lens. Really ???? I will have to have my eyeball cut again and get this lens removed and exchanged for another one? It is very strange that my vision measured at Acuity Eye Group reads totally different from my eye doctor. At Acuity Eye Group they tested my right eye at 20/40 ( that is when the insurance will start paying for surgery ), at my eye doctor a day later it read 20/25 and I was told that I have almost no cataract in my right eye and I should in no way be considering getting my right eye done. Why??? Corporate greed!!! Acuity Eye Group is a factory! My cataract surgery went wrong and I am very upset!

Great job by everyone, especially Kristine, my nurse who made me feel comfortable as I was very nervous about my eye surgery. Dr. Javidi was excellent and efficient and the follow up went well as well. Ron B.

This eye clinic is meticulously run and you receive quality service from the time you walk in. The receptionists are cordial and professional as are the eye technicians. However, the stand out optometrist in my eyes ( no pun intended) is the incredibly talented and knowledgeable Dr. Wesley Chew! After experiencing a 2 month long red eye condition, he was able to determine, after 3 very thorough exams, that I had an inflammation of the surface of the eyes which resulted in extreme redness. After prescribing me some miraculous steroid eye drops, my condition went away after two days! It made me truly happy that finally, a medical expert in optometry diagnosed my condition and remedied it quickly! I highly recommend Dr. Wesley Chew to meet your eye care needs! You will not be disappointed. Roland Espinosa, recent patient 09/2025
