Dr Dou is amazing! My family has been going to him even before he started here, we followed him from his last location. We all see him. He is thoughtful, personable, funny and truly cares. I never have an issue with my prescription and he is super helpful. Love this place and the care.

This is going to be my favorite place to go to from now on. I struggle with a lot of anxiety especially with anything involving examinations around my head or face in general, but this location helped make it easy for me. The staff is very kind, patient and good at explaining everything simply and direct to me about what does what and how to proceed. I also loved meeting with the eye doctor who's name I didn't get to ask, but he's very helpful and kind. I really appreciate how much he helped me through the eye examination process when testing my vision, easy to get along with and humorous. This is the best place to go to where I will be looking forward to continue visiting for my eye appointments, thank you so much for the wonderful service here!

1st time here and by far very great experience! Staff is super friendly! They were accommodating was able to get seen along with my children! Dr. was very thorough. Will definitely be referring my family and friends.

I went there the doctor gave wrong prescription so I had to pay to another doctor to get prescription again and change the lenses again and it caused me so much trouble! Their device was so old and unclean also. Their glass and lenses price are overpriced also!

Came to this optometry and loved the service. The girls were very helpful and they had a great selection of glasses to choose from.

I have been coming here for 3-4 years now for contacts/ eye appts for prescriptions. When I came for my first appt, the dr switched me to a different brand& prior I had monthly wear contacts. I was not told that this new brand was bi-weekly. So for the last 3-4 years I've been using these contacts as monthly's! Also no where does my paperwork or the box say that these contacts I've been wearing are only good for 2 weeks. I could've gone blind (I'm already blind, hence the need for contacts but you know what I mean) or gotten an infection! I can't claim malpractice since nothing actually happened to my eyes (thank god) but what the heck!

Exceptional Service & Genuine Care!!! This was my first visit to Santa Ana Family Optometry, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at an optometry office. From the moment I walked in, Johanna, the receptionist, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She went above and beyond to help me navigate my insurance (VSP), even though it surprisingly didn't cover my contact exam this year. She genuinely advocated for me with my insurance, expressing concern about why I wasn't eligible despite not having one yet, and did everything she could to help me save some money. During our conversation, I mentioned my upcoming vacation and how I wished I could have my glasses in time--but since I was leaving that same day at 8 PM, I had already accepted that it wouldn't be possible. Johanna didn't stop there. After ringing me up, she suddenly said, "You know what? Let's see if the doctor can get them for you today if he has the lenses." I shrieked with excitement! I've literally never had this level of care and effort at Costco Optical, where I usually feel rushed and pressured into spending more. Okay, so that was just my experience at the beginning and the end! Let's talk about the in-between! Hands down my doctor at Santa Ana Family Optometry was just as incredible! He took the time to listen and address eye inflammation I've been dealing with for 4 years--something Costco Optical always brushed off. He explained what was happening and my options without trying to upsell anything, just honest and genuinely helpful care. On top of that, he actually adjusted my prescription, which I've been told was "stable & ready for Lasik surgery" for YEARS, go figure! Now, with the correct prescription, I see so much clearer and feel so much happier! This office is the real deal--honest, caring, and incredibly helpful. If you're tired of feeling like just another number at big-box optical stores, come here instead. You'll be treated like family. I love this Optometry location. Doctor is awesome. Always straight and honest. The business is well staffed. The selection of Oakley and Rayban is a huge plus. Do yourself a favor. Get quality, service, and a fashionable set of frames. I have been going here for last 9 years. Never let down once.
