The experience that I had at America's Best was the best I've had at a vision center. The exam was a breeze and the selection of frames was great. But what made the experience truly exceptional was the associate named Queenie. I was a difficult customer. Very particiular. But she handled it wonderfully with professionalism and courtesy. She made me feel at ease and cared for.Two days later I realized I forgot transition lenses on one pair. I went back and Queenie helped me again and rectified the order. She is a valuable employee and should be commended for it
I had my eye check up at Torrance CA location. Today I am on a trip and lost my eyeglasses. I called the store asking for a copy of my glasses' prescription so could order a new pair. The store told me I had to come in to pick up the paper copy in person. They had no way to text me or email me. What? This is the year of 2025 and you are still operating using paper only, no online nor electronic copies ? Since it was emergency, I asked if they could take a photo of the prescription from their cell phone and text it to me, they refused to do so. Such a bad service office. I will not come back here again.
Love the fact that I'm in and out! My daughter and I currently do not have any eye issues, but we get an annual eye exam to ensure our eyes are in good working order. I did have LASIK some years ago, so it's always good to get them looked at. This was our first time at this location. The reason for the switch was because of a not-so-great experience at another site. Also, it is closer to us now that we have moved. On the day of our appointment, I ended up going to a different location accidentally, and when I realized I was at the wrong location, I gave them a ring informing them that I was running late. They were super understanding and told me not to worry about it and come still. When I arrived, we just needed to fill out the COVID questionnaire because we filled out our paperwork online. I love filling it out online; it saves so much time! We were seen within 5 mins of check-in. When we went into the first room, the lady was nice and walked us through each testing point. I usually added the behind-the-eye test for an additional fee, but the machine wasn't working. I was a little irritated, but since I got it last year, it was ok to skip it this time. After the tests, we were then seen by the optometrist in a different room where he did the exam. Luckily, everything looked good for both my daughter and me. The exams were only $50/ea. I'm glad we switched locations! Until next year...
Got exceptional service from Andrea a couple of weeks ago, she was very helpful and answered all the questions I was thinking of. English isn't my first language and finding someone to help me in Spanish was very comforting and efficient. Everything was done quick, and when I went to pickup my order everything was perfect. I had the most exceptional and efficient service and this store has a very welcoming environment. If possible I wish they had more Spanish speakers, but I recommend everyone I know to Andrea!
I've been to this store many times. They don't pay attention to details. Twice they made my bifocals incorrectly. Now I am standing here because they can't find my frames that I left here two weeks ago to have the lens replaced. They told me to come back later when the girl who took my frames would be here. These people are inefficient and unorganized, and they don't seem to understand how much trouble it is to keep coming back again and again. I will never come here again.
Wow! I've been a customer for several years and honestly the service has always been ok. Nothing special but decent enough for me to continue to patronize America's Best.
Today I worked with Paris on a challenging request and she was absolutely amazing. Very personable, while also not wasting my time. She had technical knowledge, so my questions were all answered really well. We went through my options, worked out the numbers and BAM! I got exactly what I wanted.

I came to this location with my grandma about 2 weeks ago because she was having trouble with her glasses she ordered from elsewhere. A family member of mine referred me here and told me to look for Queenie. She is very knowledgeable and was very thorough. Although, she looks way too young to be working here so I had my doubts. She spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with my grandma`s glasses and when she finally figured it out what was wrong, she did some adjustments and she did inform us that she rarely does these types of adjustments and there is a risk of breakage. I let her know that it was okay and that we were willing to take the risk. She asked us if it was okay that she practice on demo glasses before she works on my grandma's glasses. After she did her practice, she worked on my grandma's glasses and my grandma was able to see. She was able to replicate my grandma's older glasses while the place that we went to couldn't figure out what was wrong. I am very happy that I took my grandma here and Queenie was gracious enough to help her even though we have never been to America Best before. Thank you for taking us in and helping my grandma see again. We will be returning to get our exams done.
