This is an outstanding optometry office with cutting-edge technology, friendly doctors and a great staff. I come all the way from Long Beach because I like it so much, and I referred my girlfriend here as well because I was so impressed by the service and how easy they make things for patients. I needed some specialty glasses and they gave me a solution! No one else could. I love this office! Dr. Chad is great.

I've been visiting Dr. Mayeda since 2017. Distilled to the simplest conclusion, he's an extraordinary doctor with a kind heart who demonstrates incredible patience, thoroughness, and a commitment to providing the best care he can. A couple years ago, despite nearing closing hours, he patiently examined my eye because he wanted to ensure I would be able to pass my eye exam for my new vocation that required optimum vision. He didn't hesitate to help me accomplish my goal which was tremendously heartwarming. I often reiterate this story to my friends and family as I'll never forget his kindness in spending over an hour with me to resolve my eye situation - not once looking at the clock or hurrying me out the door. I could tell he simply wanted to ensure I was going to be successful when it came to my official eye exam. You don't find many doctors like that who provide such remarkable care. In the end, I did successfully pass my eye exam. Thank you Dr. Mayeda - you'll always be part of my life story during that critical juncture in my career. I also want to give a hearty nod to his entire administrative team. I love seeing their smiles as soon as I walk into their office. They all demonstrate exceptional customer care. Brilliant job!

My kids and I have been going to North Torrance Optometry for years. Dr. Chad is very good, professional, and friendly as is the service by staff. Our prescription glasses are always high quality and they have a nice assortment of good quality frames. Highly recommend.

My family and I have been coming here for years and it is because this office is obviously run by a highly efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Dr. Chad Shimazaki truly cares about his patients. He doesn't rush in and rush out as most doctors do. He really takes the time to go over the results of the eye exam and with my eye problems that is very reassuring. Dr Shimazaki and staff are incredibly caring and competent. My entire family goes there and they are great with kids as well. We moved and still travel back to their office for our annual appointments.

My glass were done wrong couple of times. Ordered them in December and it has been over 2 months it has not been delivered. It came back wrong 2 times.
