Highly recommend!! Denver Optics has been taking care of my developmentally disabled daughter's prosthetic eye needs for over 20 years. We were concerned when the practice was sold to a new group of younger physicians. Our concerns have been played to rest! Scheduling appointments is a breeze! We've seen 2 different specialists & both were exceptional! They were patient, knowledgeable and very gentle with my daughter. They were even able to make an adjustment to her prosthetic during our appointment. Previously, this would have required an additional appointment. We are grateful this group took over the practice. We look forward to many more years of care from Denver Optics! Denver Optics deserves the highest rating!!!

I have been blessed to be a patient of Dr. Walter Johnson's since I was only a couple years old. After one of my eyes never formed during development, Walter essentially "saved my life" by creating an incredibly realistic prosthesis that has allowed me to live a completely normal life. He is truly an artist when it comes to designing and fitting prosthetic eyes and takes so much joy in spending time with his patients and helping them be confident and proud of how they look. He has been an essential part of my life and I thank God that he was and still is available to care for me. Looking forward to our next visit Walter!!!!

My husband lost an eye to Melanoma and was referred to Denver Optic Company by his surgeon. Not only did they get us in early (by several months) but the entire experience was amazing. Dr Johnson is a true artist and made us both feel so comfortable. The office manager, too, was just so welcoming. We watched several others transform as they walked out of his office with their new prosthetics. Most memorable was a young man about 16. He wouldn't lift his head or show his face throughout the day. He was a completely different person as he walked out with his new eye. His self confidence radiated! THAT was an amazing thing to see! What an totally awesome thing to help people this way! If I could give 100 stars I would. Thanks so much Denver Optic Company! You gave my husband back his stride. You really do wonderful things for people!

Denver optic has been my go to for 28yrs now although Walter is retired now the new owners are incredibly knowledgeable and really good at making prostetics. Trevor in particular is now my go to for occular prostetics.

I have been a patient of Walter Johnson's since before I can remember--literally. I lost my right eye to retinoblastoma at the age of 2. I am now 48 years old and Walter has made every prosthesis I have worn since infancy. If people learn that I have a prosthetic eye they are always shocked, commenting "It looks so real" or "I would never have guessed it was a prosthetic." Thank you Walter!

While the Ocularist is very thorough in his job, the person who files insurance is not. I went August 29th, paid $495 cash for a fitting my eye rejected and they have yet to file my insurance so I can get reimbursed. We call them,email them to no avail. Our insurance company gets called every couple of days and no claim from this company. $495 for an office visit is a lot of money that we had to come up with on the fly because they are not transparent in telling you how much you have to pay if the prosthetic does not work. This is very sad because the ocuralist seems to know what he is doing and was highly recommended.

Our special needs son Joey, has been a patient of Dr. Johnson for MANY years! He is cheerful, knowledgeable, and an amazing Dr! He is a GODSEND for so many....this changes people's lives, being able to look and fit in like others. My son's fake eye looks more "real" than his Coloboma eye! Thanks Dr Johnson and staff!
