Had an exam done in 2023 where I was told testing was needed. I asked specifically if this test was included in the exam, or if it was billed separately. I was told it was included only to receive an additional bill for said testing. I tried to discuss with the office manager, and dealt with a very nasty exchange. Fast forward to today where I am preparing for an exam with a different office. I called to request my records be released to me. I was told that I needed to sign a release. I was a bit confused, and asked why I needed to sign a release to receive my own records, to which the office manager replied "we need the form". At this point I couldn't help but voice my frustration and said "you're being a bit rude". I then received the reply "You're the worst customer ever". I could not recommend a worse doctors office to visit. Not only was I lied to, and incorrectly billed (which I paid anyway) I have not received worse customer service in my entire life.

Came in for a standard office visit 11/2022. Was told I was doing "routine exams" that were included in my copay (I always ask so I'm not surprised later). Sure enough I received a surprise bill of $60. After months of trying to get ahold of an office manager to dispute the charges it was sent to a collection agency. They told me to contact the office. I reached out again and was told that there was nothing they could do. When I was then hung up on my the office manager. When I called back to ask to speak with Dr Grey the practice owner, I was told "this is a private practice and we can do as we please you would have to pay for an appointment or write a letter (that would most likely just get thrown in the trash). Visit ANY other eye doctor in grand junction. Surprise bills, rude staff, and unprofessional behavior. 0/10 worst doctors visit ivr ever had.

I have had very good service here. Some say the glasses are cheap. Well, that isn't their fault, the VA sets the price which determines the quality. Some say they are rude. I have never experienced that. They have always been very courteous and professional. The only problem I have had is since the VA started this Choice program. Like everything the government tries to fix, they end up screwing it up.

Very rude, too many patients that they can handle, if your a veteran the glasses they offer are cheap pieces of trash, they will run up the bill on the VA for tests but dont offer any solutions other than to come out of your own pocket to get a decent set of glasses. The VA does not communicate with this place as well. But the main thing that pissed me off was the doctors attitude, I had to walk out in the middle of my appointment because I would have gotten myself into trouble if I would have stayed.

Went in here because of a referral, everyone had a very fun attitude which made it a little less nerve racking when it came to see if my eyes had any issues. Shout out to Dr.Grey for being a really cool but still professional type of guy who hasn't seen a 19 year old getting their eyes checked in a while lol. Also shout out to Jolene for helping me pick out my frames and getting them in as soon as possible. Very nice lady.

Dr Gray said my macular problem was no longer and I had no changes from my diabetes and to see him in a year. I continued with poor vision and requested another visit. THe receptionist said I had a macular hole and that was my problem. I asked to make another problem and she was not happy with another appointment I should never have believed but finally did. I decided to make an appointment with my retenal specialist. He did an extensive exam (2hrs) and said I DID NOT have a macular hole! I have a very serious problem which will require surgery. It is Retinal traction detachment .which is a very serious condition. Dr gray and his staff are not to be believed. He gets SERO stars from me! I should never have believed the diagnosis of the receptionist!!!!

Would give 0 starts if i could. My mother has several eye problems and they just denied her. I see a medical malpractice lawsuit here. Would never recommend and even removing my son from their care too!!

Very hot and miss, the first visit (7yrs ago) the glasses received tinted at different levels, left was darker than the right. Couldn't return them as I lived 200 miles away. Most recent visit (1 yr ago) I was sent transitions which I did not want, rather than muck with them I just kept using my previous pair. The gal that dealt with the VA patients that day appeared to very inconvenienced by my presence especially after I informed her I was a veteran. I inquired about transitions and was very clear that I did not want then but that was what I received. The biggest problem now as a veteran is the middle man nonsense we have to go through to get an appointment. Used to be you ask your dr., they put in a eye refraction, the clinic calls to set an appt and you go get your glasses. Now someone calls you to see when is best, they call they clinic to see what's open, then they call you to see if the clinic opening works for you, then they call the clinic to confirm your decision, then they call you back to let you know your good to go.
