A Truly Exceptional Experience at Kirk Eye Center I can't say enough good things about Kirk Eye Center in Loveland. Dr. Kirk is an extraordinary human being--deeply caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to his patients' well-being. After my cataract surgery, I experienced an issue that had me worried, and Dr. Kirk handled it with absolute professionalism, compassion, and skill. I felt completely supported and confident in his care. His staff is equally impressive: well-trained, kind, and efficient. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and taken care of. It's clear that this team works together with a shared dedication to excellent patient care. I'm incredibly grateful for the level of service I received and highly recommend Kirk Eye Center to anyone seeking exceptional eye care.

The receptionist Rhonda was very nice when I called the day before my appointment to make sure all my information was correct and complete. She was kind enough to Email me the forms to fill out online the night before. It took over an hour to complete them, but since y my disabilities include difficulties dealing with unfamiliar places in three-dimensional space, it's necessary for me to have those things completed before hand. Sadly, when I arrived on time, the front desk staff said they hadn't received the forms I had spent over an hour filling out. This was quite distressing and took extra time and energy I wasn't prepared to spend. Once we got that straightened out, the rest of the appointment went well. Dr. Smith and all three technicians seemed to do a fine job. The clinic was also kind enough to provide a wheelchair for me, and to push me around to the various rooms involved. That was appreciated. Again, I have difficulty maneuvering in three-dimensional space, especially unfamiliar space, so the wheelchair was appreciated. But the front desk not having all the information I had so carefully provided the day before was distressing.

My wife and I both had exams with Dr. Kirk. We were very satisfied with him and his office. He is very thorough and takes time to carefully explain his findings and treatment options. We felt like he really cares about his patients

I have lost a significant amount of the vision in my left eye because of Dr. Kirk's negligence. The loss may be permanent. Here is what happened: A year ago, at my annual eye exam, I told Dr. Kirk that I was experiencing blurry vision in my left eye. It was like looking through a cloud, with some clearer spots. He said that because the blurs varied, the "only" thing that could cause this was Dry Eye, and I should use over-the-counter drops more frequently. By November, my vision was worse. Tests also showed high pressure (glaucoma), and he prescribed additional meds, but he said the blurriness was not related to the glaucoma, and to use more OTC drops. Repeat in December. By the time I decided to get a second opinion, I could barely see out of that eye. It turns out that the conditions are related. I have a "retinal venous occlusion," a blockage in the main vein to my retina. Dr. Kirk had seen this (his assistant pointed it out during one of my exams), but he said "we aren't going to worry about that right now." Now significant damage has been done. I had good experience with Dr. KIrk for years, including successful cataract surgery. {And PLEASE note that the staff, including the optical department staff, have always been very pleasant and attentive!} I had sometimes felt that Dr. Kirk did not listen very attentively, and that our visits seemed rushed. But I trusted him - and because of that trust, I kept following his recommendation of more and more OTC drops for far too long. He never went on to further tests and diagnoses, or referred me to someone else if he couldn't do those. His was essentially a misdiagnosis, and it cost me some of my vision. The lesson: Do not trust Dr. Kirk with your eyesight.

Staff and doctor were all great. This was my first time at Kirk and I felt really welcomed and cared for. I wasn't rushed through. Very good experience. Definitely wont be going anywhere else!

I have been going to Kirk Eye Center for years and have always been very happy with the services provided. However my last 2 visits have been less than good. I have been in 2 times for a procedure and have left both times due to excessive wait times. I was there today for a procedure and after waiting 30 minites in the waiting room was taken back to an exam room where the young lady assisting me did her part. She left the room and told me the doctor would be in soon. I sat in that exam room for an hour with no interaction or communication from any staff. After waiting for an hour I left without seeing the doctor.
