Eye Associates of Pueblo

I took my wife here because she was having severe eye pain and we were told there would be a doctor on call at this location for emergencies. When we approached the counter, there was a woman typing on a computer and essentially ignoring us. My wife turned to me and said: "She could at least acknowledge us." To which the woman replied: "I see you" in a loud voice and continued typing. In the meantime, one of the waiting patients asked my wife what happened to her eye because she had it covered with a bandage. It was only at that point that the woman at the desk finally asked what we needed. She then asked a few questions with a raised voice again and at that point we asked her what the issue was and why she was acting so rude and unprofessional. She denied being rude and we then asked for her name. Charisma was the name she gave. And no, the irony was not lost on us. She then went to the back to see about the doctor and came back and helped a patient who came in after us. Her tone had changed at the point with the new person. After that, she went to the back again and came back and told us the doctor was "too busy to see us" and for us to go to the ER instead. There were only two patients in the waiting room at that point. Also, if the doctor is going to turn down an emergency, why is he the one on call?! This office is hugely poorly run and the woman at the desk needs some further training in patient care and overall professional demeanor, at the very least. We would never return here again and if you have an emergency, definitely don't depend on this place. The doctor might be "too busy." Now, they will probably respond with some trivial apology, or take a defensive stand and deny it happened this way, but this is factually, word for word what happened. What we would like is a sincere apology and a promise they will never treat someone in pain like this again. My wife could've lost her vision while waiting at this place.

Dr B was great! He was very thorough and explained everything to us. We did however wait 45 min to get in and I would have appreciated an on time appointment.

Dr. Butikofer is always very professional and puts me at ease during my examinations, if I have questions he provides answers. I always feel comfortable at my appointments. the rest of the staff are always professional and courteous, I feel at ease whenever I have an appointment at this office.

I was very happy with the care I received from Eye associates of Pueblo. My medical concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. My only complaint was the wait time. I was brought back to the room approximately an hour after my scheduled visit. This isn't ideal and other patients did complain and request to reschedule their appointments. If the providers are running behind, it should be relayed to patients so they can reschedule or at least be aware when they check in.

Very impressed with Dr Scott. He was very thorough in his diagnosis for my cataract. Would highly recommend. His staff in the office were very helpful also. Surgery went great. Looking forward to clear vision. Thanks to all the nurses.

Dr. Scott Butikofer is the best! He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable at Eye Associates! He takes the time to go over test results and is very willing to answer any questions that come up. He is very personable as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kudos to all of you

Enjoyed my routine eye appointment with Dr. Buttikofer and his assistants. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. The staff and Doctor listened to me and, did not seem to be in a hurry to go on to the next patient. Would highly recommend their Pueblo office.

Dr. Butikofer is the best -- kind, knowledgeable, competent, professional. Glad I ended up having him perform my cataract surgery. I highly recommend him.
