Friendly staff, sadly won't be returning. Never got a call back about my contact trials. I know communication works both ways just a little harder when you get in a car accident and you'll lose your car and your cell phone in the wreck. I had double Vision coverage and sadly, it was a waste of my benefits as my new optometrist stated that my prescription was all wrong. I advised I was thinking the same as I was never really able to see as well as my old prescription. Definitely please with my new provider.
These people charge you $50 for a 90 day trial contact lens fitting. 90 days which clearly states on the form you sign. They give you a five day trial and when the five days was up, I asked for another five day free trial, which they don't pay for which they denied me and said I had to order contacts with them. If I don't order contacts with them, they will not give me any free trials so they're pretty much charging $50 for free trials that they get from reps. And the manager is such a rude kid.
I've been going there for 15 years and after this experience, I will never go there again
I called about rescheduling my appointment. When I seen how long it would be to reschedule. I said never mind and said I will kept. Well she cancel
It anyway. I show up told them I didn't cancel. Then that girl who cancel my appointment was talking about me to where I could hear it. Very unprofessional staff they have working up front
If you are a parent then you may have experienced your child getting injured and it frightening you to the core. My son had a really scary eye injury and I called 3 different places before this office was willing to see us super short notice instead of us sitting at urgent care and not even seeing an eye doctor. This office was there for us with no questions asked. They took us right away, the doctor came in right away and gave my son a super thorough exam. He reassured us that our son would be okay and gave us drops to take home. We are not even patients there and they treated us like a patient. We will come back in the future if we need eye care for certain! I was really impressed with how nice the girls are up front, the office is clean and they have a bunch of awards on their wall from Pueblo. They were our heros today!
I have been a patient of Dr. Mike for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I've been experiencing problems with my eyes lately in part due to Crohn's Disease. I saw the Dr in December after waiting several months for an appointment. He gave me a prescription eye drop sample to try. I didn't have any relief, he had me come back in two weeks later. He then put some temporary plugs in my eyes which also didn't work. He said he would try to get me a sample of another eye drop. I waited since Jan 22 of this year to hear back from his office. Two weeks ago, I called to see what was going on, and if there was something else I could try. They told me Dr. Mike wasn't there, but his son would look into my problem.
I haven't received any calls from his office, so I called again today, March 7, to again see what was going on. First, they told me that Dr Mike had retired, but his son was taking over the practice. Then they tell me they have some samples of some over-the-counter wipes with tea tree oil in them that works as well as the Miebo prescription.
My question is, if these eye wipes work so well, why didn't they tell me about them in my initial office visit? I had two additional office visits that my insurance was billed for that provided no relief.
Why was I ghosted by this office since Jan 22? I even called two weeks ago with a promise of a follow up that also didn't happen. Is this the kind of service that clients can expect out of this office in the future? If an over-the-counter eye wipe can work as well as a thousand dollar plus prescription, why was I instructed to come back so many times?
Of course, I've never heard back from any of the doctors about my problems even after I called several times. It was bad enough that I had to wait so long for an appointment after being a client for over 25 years. I wonder if Miebo would find it interesting that this office told me the over-the-counter tea tree wipes provided as much relief as this prescription eyedrop? Shame on Southern Colorado Eye Associates.
I waited to write this review to see if they would correct their mistake, but they haven't. Beware that they don't verify your insurance benefits before charging you. This isn't the first time I've had to argue with them over what our insurance covers. We are going on two months of waiting for them to refund their $39 fee for a retinal screening. After I called VSP a second time, they confirmed this office still has not submitted the claim correctly. Also, the lady that answers the phone was very rude and argumentative every time I called. She was even rude to my daughter when she had to call because her prescription was written incorrectly.
We have been going here for years but Dr Cozzetta recently retired & the energy was definitely different. Although Dr Ruxton was great, I'm very disappointed with how we were treated. My son has Down Syndrome & was not treated like other patients. We were looking at glasses & no one came to help us although I visibly watched them help several other families.
Claims to be a family oriented business, but far from unless you're one of the Drs, your family matters mean nothing to them. Youre just another body on the floor. They don't care to train staff correctly. Comments made by office manager like "people come and go often here" Hmmm I wonder why? Quick to jump down your throat if a mistake is made, due to their lack of training. Very much lacks communication skills all around. Brushed off when asking for help. Expected to know everything when they "train" you for 4 days and then throw you to the wolves. Other staff is rude and gets annoyed when asking them for help. Angela is a "see you next Tuesday" and is rude about any and everything. Other reviews of wrong charged amounts are correct due to the lack of training. No one at the front desk has proper training and continuously makes mistakes with billing insurances among other tasks. The back office gossips about other staff as if they're still in hs. Don't care to give more training on task when expressing you need help, but they make sure to tell you, you need more training. ??? Make it make sense. Thee worst work experience.
