Bright Eyes Vision Clinic

I have never in my life had such a terrible experience at an eye clinic. I'll start by saying the initial appointment with the doctor was fantastic. She was actually the best. I was thrilled with that initial experience so much so that I'm shocked by what I've been through sincell then. Three weeks later and I haven't heard anything about my glasses or contacts. I called, and I'm told that they have the lenses but need me to bring in the frames I bought for them. I never left the clinic with the frames. Why would I take frames without the lenses?!?! I'm put on hold before being told that they can't find the frames... I drive down to the clinic. When I get there, I'm told that there was an issue with the lenses the first time I came in to be fitted... what?!?! I've never received a single call from this clinic and haven't been back since the eye exam. Come to find out, they don't have the correct number on file to contact me. Who knows who they've called and had come in to be fitted for the glasses I paid for because it sure wasn't me. Now, the frames are at the lab downtown, while the lenses are at this clinic. So, I have to wait for someone to go get the frames from the lab before they can put together my glasses. This is far beyond what I would ever consider acceptable from an eye clinic. If I heard them correctly, they called somebody else who was brought in and fitted for my glasses, which apparently didn't work for them... I wonder why... So they had to send them out to fix the issue. Does that mean that the glasses I paid for and have been waiting for 3 weeks to receive are now modified for someone else?? I guess I'll find out in a couple of hours when they actually have the frames and lenses together under one roof... I just can't believe what I'm having to go through right now. If I hadn't already paid for them, I'd go somewhere else and never look back. I just really hope my glasses are good to go and there's no problem with my contacts so that I never have to come back here again.

Notice that the 1-star reviews are more recent than the positive ones. My experience very much validated this pattern. I came here because they take VSP, but neither of the reception staff had any idea of how to look insurance up using my SSN (as every other optometrist and dentist has done for several years now with no issue). They told me to hand over my medical insurance card so they could call them, despite me saying MULTIPLE times that we have separate vision insurance that covered more than the exam and that if they waited a minute I could text my wife for better information. I took my paperwork to the car to fill out, had a panic attack instead when I saw that if they'd just waited for my forms they would have had the info they needed, and drove home. 0/5 stars, that was an hour of my life I can't get back and I still need an eye exam and glasses. This review is cross-posted to Yelp because I'd really like to help other potential customers avoid my frustrating situation.

I have been here twice for contact lens's, both times it took forever to get them and there was zero communication from them. Save yourself some time and frustration by going somewhere else.

I took my son in for his first check up due some concerns. I felt heard, understood and was well taken care of by the assistant Yolanda she was amazing , she was patient and kind and would speak to my son in a way that made him feel much more comfortable since he was scared of his first visit. perfect customer service for me and most importantly for my son. I didn't catch the doctors name but he was wonderful as well. Explained everything in detail and very kind and patient with my young son. Don't have much to say on front staff Neither good or bad service

PARENTS DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!! Front staff is honestly the worst they are very unprofessional and not personable at all. My son got his first pair of glasses and broke them in a month. I went in to ask if they could fix it or if I could order a new frame, and they said yes. I didn't order them that time, but a few weeks later, I called to order them, and I told them I had lost my other insurance and I provided my new insurance information and they said it would cover the glasses and that the glasses will be available in 2 weeks. Fast forward 3 weeks, I got a call from them telling me that if I was going to want the glasses, I needed to pay because my insurance wasn't going to cover them. Okay, why wasn't I told this when I called, so I just paid for them because my son needs them ASAP for school. 1 week and 3 days pass, and I call because maybe they already have them, I call, and the front lady rudely says it hasn't been 2 weeks yet , and that they will call me once they are there. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I call because it's already been too long since I paid for them and have not heard anything. They said that their system was down and that they would call me. I found it weird that she would say that, so I said that okay, I will call the next day, and she said no because that system would still be down. I waited until they called me today that they were able to find a pair of glasses from a different store?... i came in, and the front lady broke them while she was trying to insert the lenses. That was honestly the last straw for me. It seems like they are just trying to get money from insurances since they kept insisting on bringing my son in for another exam. Why would i trust them to get my sons glasses? If all this time, they took almost 2 months to get my sons glasses. Honestly, they are super weird here, and their work is super sketchy. The manager and the front staff are very unprofessional. I'm going to a different place for my son because they honestly don't care about their patients. They only care about the money. I dont like to leave bad reviews unless I think they really deserve one.

Staff is perfectly fine. Not sure what other reviews are talking about. I think people are blaming them for problems they don't have control over. Went there because they take Medicare and got exactly what I needed.

Everyone at this clinic is so kind, welcoming, and friendly! I saw Dr. Winder and she was great. She and her staff took the time to explain what was going on, including medical terms I wasn't familiar with, and gave advice on things to look for to keep my eyes healthy. I've been visiting the eye doctor for decades and this is the first time I've not only enjoyed my visit and also learned so much from it. I felt heard and valued here and I couldn't recommend them more!

Eye doc was 5 star! How ever front desk is rude. Only speaking in Spanish as your standing in front of them as they talk about your account. Like they don't want you to hear what they are saying about your account. Tried to pay on care credit card and they wouldn't work to get it going, didn't even try other then a quick swipe. (Never works being swiped anywhere) Will not be going back, to bad because the doctor was awesome.
