I had a terrible experience with Dr. Hoo on my
FIRST visit this morning. She was extremely rude and impatient throughout the exam, making me feel super uncomfortable. When I asked a question, she was dismissive and unpleasant. The final straw was when she asked which of the lines on a lens I was able to see, and I told her I could only see a few letters in lines 1 and 2 - her response was basically
"that's not what I asked". SHE IS A RUDE AND INCOMPETENT OPTOMETRIST WHO LACKS
PROFESSIONALISM AND PATIENCE!!!
If l could give her a zero rating, I would. Not going back!!!! Zero professionalism, no compassion. Worst eye exam ever!!!!!!
Should've listened to the 3.6 star Google rating... People, learn to read reviews, they never lie!!!!
Apparently she does not respect folks of different ilk/ ethnicity/ nationality/ phenotypically disposed to melanin. It was evident from my observation of her treatment of such demographic. This is not just rhetoric or hyperbole, but an observed behavior. Now as a terminally guided retired Professor, I can recog
Staff is rude and dismissive. I have been a patient for over 10 years and I started bringing my daughters within recent years. The office failed to update one of my daughter's chart with our current number which was given to the receptionist at the time of scheduling her appointment. My daughter missed her appointment because we did not receive a confirmation text or call. When I called to confirm her appointment, not realizing it was missed, the receptionist said that she was flagged by the doctor and will not be seen in their office. We are a family of 4 and have been existing patients for years, its disappointing that the doctor wants to ban one of my children. Added insult, the receptionist was short, rude, and dismissive. Previously I noticed with each of my office visits how the professionalism was deteriorating - I felt like just another number rather than a patient, or even a human being. So I guess all happens for a reason. My family will not be returning as patients and in the past I have referred patients - never again.
1st visit, got in quick. Doc was thorough asking questions I haven't been asked before. Was given a few tests, got a comprehensive explanation about my eye health and sent on my way! Overall a great experience and I'm looking forward to my next checkup!
Worse doctor ever I spend 4 hours sitting the doctor keeps repeating in legal she doesn't know how to work with special conditions with kids they have special needs the recepcionista they don't have any education to treat people
Ive been coming here since I was a kid and they were located in downtown of bridgeport. Never had an issue with anyone here. Im 30 years old now and I love that they are still here taking care of us. Now i bring my daughter and my sister brings her kids. Thank you guys for always being the same. Very patient with rude clients. Very quick and effective. Love you guys. Wish you all the best of luck during this pandemic. I will be making an appointment soon.
This place is ridicolous!!! I live not in Bridgeport no more but still have kept this place. But now will be changing. Put a review in Saturday for this place, read it. Now today March 20th 2019, my mom goes in to pick up my glass which Sarah said she could without waiting. She goes in she has other things to do in bport and they made her WAIT!!!! MIND you I paid Saturday already to just tint my glasses. What does she have to wait for???? She ended up leaving because they lied!!!! This place has gotten disgusting to say the least. Should be more of a diverse culture too. Milly..office manager no help, didn't show courtesy not in the least. Very nasty attitude not flexible and not will to help a client. I will no longer after getting my glasses continue to go here and be mistreated. They need customer services classes.
Beautiful office, terrible service. I have been desperate without my glasses, I totally understand it's not the office fault that my glasses would take 3 weeks to be done. However, when I called at 11 30 am to find out about any updates, I was told my glasses were in the office; but, nobody could wait for me 20 min to pick them up, because the office closes at 12
Of course, it's the weekend! Who said that a patient's necessary is priority?
