Recently I completed cataract surgery under the watchful eye of Dr. Konykhov. The entire process has worked seamlessly. From the initial consultations to the follow-up appointments, Dr. K has provided exemplary care. She explained things well, spent as much time as I needed to understand the protocols, was patient and friendly. She exudes a level of confidence and competence that is noteworthy. Similarly, another staff person, Marilyn Rosado, met with me initially to obtain some baseline measurements in prep for the upcoming surgeries. I had expressed some anxiety about the procedures. Marilyn spent time with me providing authentic and sincere encouragement; my anxieties had vanished. She was funny, matter of fact, and spoke to me in a manner that was warm and inviting. When at the surgery center itself, the registration process was flawless and expedited. Once inside the surgery suite, the amount of attention I received from several staff was noteworthy, including nurses and the physician who was to administer my "sedation" Repeatedly I was checked on as I awaited my turn for Dr. K's working of her magic. The amount of caring demonstrated was palpable. All this to say, do not hesitate to seek the services of the Eye Group of Connecticut. I cannot imagine a better staff of caring, considerate, professional and competent health care workers.

Amazing group! They run efficiently, with smiles, kindness and respect for patients. Most importantly, I am thrilled with my surgery results! Dr.Konykhov did my cataract surgery and I see amazingly well without glasses! Her expertise is so appreciated. The entire staff runs like a well-polished business. And they haven't lost the human touch- these days most of my doctors are buried in their laptops with grumpy faces and agitated attitudes. But these folks smile, listen, explain and show care. Keep up excellent job !

I've been a patient for many years. The entire team always display a high level of professionalism, and make sure I feel comfortable throughout my visit. My insurance issues were addressed by the office manager with exceptional care. Our family moved back to New York City, but I will still be using this clinic for all my eye needs.

I've only had the best experiences with this group, having been a patient for years, but my most recent experience tops them all. I had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Kaplan, receiving multifocal lenses. Every step of the way went smoothly, and the results are amazing! I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes and can see distance, close up and everything in between clearly! Dr. Kaplan and his staff are attentive and caring and take the time to explain procedures and listen. I'm grateful to have this group for my eye care.

Came in for my eye exam last month. Dr. Konykhov and team demonstrated a remarkable level of professionalism and care. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. The office is a little out of the way for me, but the care I receive makes it very much worth my while.

***Update - the response to my review is a clear example of the attitude I experienced from the staff. The description in the response below of how the staff interacted with me was completely inaccurate. Thankfully, the drs are great. This review is about the office staff not the doctors - I arrived for what I thought was a 9am appt and at 9:30 asked how late they were running and the receptionist said my appointment wasn't until 10. Very frustrating that the person who saw my sign in (which indicated that I thought I had a 9am appt) could not take 30 seconds to inform me that my appt time was 10am. How patients are treated matters.

I've got PRK surgery done with Dr. Konykhov, now my vision is perfect! I was worried a lot before, during and after surgery But, she was very detailed with what to expect, they have an emergency line in case you have problems (even on holiday doctor was in touch with me when I called). Totally recommend her! I went to two different places before her and only when I spoke to Olga I felt ready to do procedure. Happy-happy with my new eyes

My mother had to have cataract surgery in both eyes as she was nearly blind. She also has "White coat syndrome" which means she doesn't like and kind of fears doctors. She needed assistance with walking, going up & down stairs and even eating. The staff at Eye Group of CT understood this and took extra care with Mom. Dr. Kaplan was so sweet and kind to Mom. He explained that the surgeries might be tough because she waited so long. The surgeries went well thanks to Dr. Kaplan. She is reading nearly a book a day with only cheaters from the drug store and enjoying getting back to her active life with her grandchildren. Thank you Dr. Kaplan and staff for being so kind and understanding with my mother!
