Costco Optical Department

Went in to troubleshoot my glasses fit that I got last month. the optical center of the glasses seems to be slightly off. The guy checked it on the lensometer and then said it must be a prescription issue and that I have to go back to my optometrist. When I questioned it and asked about checking the fit on my face, he said there's no need because it can't be a mechanical issue, since the glasses were cut to how they were ordered. Which is all factually not true. It can mostly certainly be that the centering wasn't marked correctly originally. I'll see if I get better service at a different Costco otherwise I'll request a refund.

Man that works there is extremely rude and has been for the last 10+ years i've been getting contacts through them. Was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because we all have bad days but it seems as if he's constantly having one. Hung up the phone on me before I could even finish asking my questions. seems like i'm not the only one whose had problems with him based on other reviews. costco should hire people that actually want to be there and let go of the ones who clearly don't

Getting prescription glasses was no problem. However, today when I walked in to ask if they could help with a bent frame, ( sat on them) I was told sorry but they're not allowed to fix / adjust frameless glasses even though they sold them to me.

I went there have in the past but today was a horrible experience. Guy who has worked there for a long time after taking my info and I was a bit confused he said I have paper work to do and threw me to another employee. I took receipts only to look at them in car he made a big mistake on prescription. Went back in annd had to wait.. After waiting a grabbed him and said this is wrong all he said good catch and said it will be fixed . I left with no receipt. Will not be using them anymore. Esp when first guy was rude and impatient!!!

I went to Costco Vision Center for an eye exam with Dr. Duffy, who was excellent, very thorough. I then went to choose a pair of glasses (first time in 15 years replacing my glasses). I had Rocky helping me and she was excellent. She listened to all my needs and helped me choose glasses that best suited my needs. She also helped me choose prescription sunglasses and answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. Costco is fortunate to have Rocky at their vision center, she made my purchase easy and comfortable while instilling confidence that I'd made the right choice of lenses and frames.

I was traveling to the area and forgot by bag with my glasses and contacts at home, some 8 hrs away. My prescription is unique and usually requires preordering so I was quite panicky about what to do. A local friend arranged for an emergency appointment with Karen and Dr. Duffy to get a new prescription. They were able to fit me in on the same day and give me samples to get me through until I could get home. Dr. Duffy was incredibly understanding and sympathetic and I am so very grateful. Highly recommend!

Yikes what has happened to the morale of the employees at Brookfield optical? They have turned into the saddest, grumpy employees Ive ever seen. Not one of them smiles. Or even says hello anymore. They do their job with as little effort as possible . It used to be sooo different years ago. I just had another pair of glasses made. It took the man 2 seconds to order (New RX) them. He did nothing to measure. I said I need a bigger reading area...not a word, not a change in his sad demeanor....and then guess what when I got the glasses I couldn't read from the bottom. So now my face is embedded in my chest to try and read if I hold the chart by my belly button and he says that's the way it supposed to be...errr no it's not. So they are remaking them....we decided after these we are headed back to the places in the mall. At least they make us feel like we aren't annoying them with our presence.

I was picking up my eyeglasses today and the experience could have been frustrating because I waited a while and I couldn't see well out of one of the pairs of glasses I got.However Rebekah was so sweet and patient and she took the time to check the prescription and figure out what the problem was. Then the other pair was a bit crooked. Rebekah did not get impatient at all even though she had to tweak them several times before I was satisfied. During that time there were several people waiting but she didn't rush me. I watched her give the same great service to the customer before me as well. Costco optical is very lucky to have someone like Rebekah representing them.
