Dr. Koyfman is the best optometrist I have ever met. He is highly experienced, exceptionally thorough, attentive, and patient. He demonstrates great professionalism and takes the time to explain the specific issues with my eyes and the reasons behind them, making sure multiple times that everything is okay. He even prepared more than one type of contact lens for me to try so I could find the most comfortable option. His office is equipped with very advanced instruments, and all the staff are friendly and professional. This is truly a great place for eye exams and eyewear, and one that deserves to be recommended and praised.

Follow up to Dr.'s response.... once again, I WAS NOT informed of the emergency fee of $50. Had I been, I wouldn't have made the appointment! Interesting how your responses to reviews of you being shady are the same!! Maybe it's not the patient, but go ahead & not take responsibility!
Beware...shady stuff going on with extra charges being made without informing patient. I was charged for an "Emergency visit" when I called to make an appointment for an irritated eye. They happened to have availability that day so I made the appointment. They didn't inform me there would be a $50 additional charge! It was not an "emergency" & I could've waited a day or two to see the Dr. Other services were billed to insrance that I didn't ask for as well. I paid $190 up front & my EOB states that I'm responsible for less & they refuse to reimburse me.

This place is not a very honest practice in my opinion.
I needed to order new contacts but my prescription has expired.
I came with the box of my old Acuvue contacts asking to renew my prescription and reorder contacts.
This office doesn't cover the Acuvue brand I like, so they offered me other trials from 2 other brands.
In the end I didn't like them and asked for new prescription alone and ordered Acuvue online.
I was charged for that trial "service" $230 on top of eye exam, which was covered by insurance.
It was explained to me that the doctor specifically went to school for to know which lenses are the best for me and charged for that.
So he didn't go to school to know how to check the health of my eyes and define a prescription which my insurance covered.
No, he went to school to try to push a brand of the contacts I didn't like and charged me $230 for that.
