I recently bought some glasses online, not from MyEyeDr., and they were slightly too large, so I called ahead to ask whether they could be refitted. I was told to come in before 5 PM to see what could be done (by the way, your hours on Google state a 7PM closing time on Tuesday, the day I came in. This is not the issue for me though). I arrived around 4:30, about 30 minutes before the stated closing time. Refits here have never taken more than 10 minutes, usually closer to 5, so I felt this was a reasonable time to stop by. I gave my glasses to the woman at the front desk, who seemed hesitant, and she stepped away for about a minute before returning and telling me that nothing could be done. I accepted that, thanked her for checking, but was surprised that not even small adjustments like the nose pads or temple bends were considered. She said the glasses were drill mounted, even though this same office has previously refitted my metal frames by adjusting the bridge and temples. After leaving, I sat in my car and did some quick research on my frame type and how these glasses are typically refitted. While parked, I noticed the same staff member leave the building roughly 25 minutes before closing, only a couple of minutes after speaking with me. I did not say anything at the time, but the interaction felt rushed rather than actually evaluated. I later called a different ophthalmologist, described the exact specifications of the glasses, and they were surprised that I had been turned away. I had made it clear that the glasses were from a third party and explicitly waived any liability, was told to come in, yet I was still given a flat "nothing can be done." based on the frame type. I remained courteous throughout, but a basic level of effort and pride in one's work should be expected. I understand that not everyone loves their job, but taking a moment to properly assess the issue matters. For context, another clinic refit the glasses in ~10 minutes by unscrewing the mounts and bending the bridge into shape. I waited to write this review until after the glasses were successfully refitted elsewhere.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff, doctor and eye glasses are fabulous and they have amazing prices too! A shout out to Kim who was so helpful and kind to me even when the place was closed. My husband accidentally broke my glasses and she quickly ordered me new frames so I could see again! Thank you for employing her, she truly cares about her customers! I will never go anywhere else for all my eye needs! The best of the best!

I had a great experience with Dr. Guglielmo. Upon arriving, the staff was friendly and professional. I found the eye exam very thorough, and Dr. Guglielmo gave me some pointers for a lifelong eye issue I have been dealing with. On top of that, she recognized that I had an astigmatism in one of my eyes that was never found previously by other doctors. I left with a trial set of contacts and have not been able to see this well in years. An A+ experience. I highly recommend this doctor.

I had such a wonderful experience here today. I was seen early when I arrived a few minutes before my appointment. I saw Dr. Guglielmo and she was thorough and friendly. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful in explaining my insurance benefits to me and helping me find a frame within my budget and that would meet my needs. We are new to Newtown and have been in the process of trying to find a local optometrist. I was treated rudely by several other places in Newtown who told me I had terrible insurance and would have no luck finding anyone who would accept it. I feel so happy that I found this office! I will be recommending others to this location. Thank you!

My husband went in to have his glasses checked, and the front desk clerk was incredibly rude. She hardly looked up from the computer screen and acted like it was an inconvenience to assist him. He was the only customer there. Horrible customer service!

The entire staff is super friendly. I was most impressed by the doctor who was super patient and really took her time to explain things to me. Everyone was so laid back but still very professional which is difficult to achieve but this staff did. Love MyEye Doctor! Will definitely be back and I will be recommending them to everyone!

The doctor was great, the eye exam was perfect. But that is where the greatness ended. I tried to order glasses, their systems were down so I left my insurance and CC info with them. They were to call me to discuss pricing. No one called but my cc was charged for 140 and some change so I call them the following day and they try to play it off that they tried to call me and I said nope no one called, so I asked why the charge when insurance was to cover so they were not to charge my CC ( giving the info upfront was my fault).. no answer/rational.. their answer well what do u want me to do.. Cancel the order.. I said ..yes please .. end of conversation..
