My daughter, 15, was seen by Dr. Sonia Singh, who was thorough, competent and friendly. The Stamford office also didn't seem as busy as other locations (Norwalk or Southport), which gave us plenty of time to be seen by the doctor as well as front desk.
Dr. Singh is the best. Super thorough in her exam and patient with all my questions. The front desk staff is also great! Very friendly and kind.
Great friendly service. Thorough eye exam with explanations and details. Dr Singh is great and will definitely come again for checkups.
Dr. Sonia Singh is thorough, and she answers every question I pose thoughtfully and thoroughly. She is pleasant and administers my exam with care and compassion. It's a great benefit to have someone examining my eyes who is also well-versed in vision therapy, which has made a significant and positive difference in my vision over the years. Eye Care Associates provides all these services and more.
Lisa at Eye Care Associates in Stamford was willing and able to fix an eye glass frame problem I had that three other optician shops would not even consider addressing. Lisa and her team at Eye Glass Associates in Stamford were great. This is why I am making the special effort to give them a 5-stay rating. What happened? I had a pair of glasses (frames and lenses) that I had been wearing for the past 4 plus years, and the frames broke. However, the lenses were fine, and a more recent optician visit (to another place, in another country where I used to live) verified that my prescription had not changed. So I wanted to see if I could find a new frame that could be used for my existing lenses. Of course, to make the situation more interesting, the frame that broke is a) discontinued, and b) purchased overseas and was not even available in the US. The several other eye glass shops I contacted did not want to "bother" with this situation. They just wanted to sell me a new set of lenses and frames together. Lisa was willing to seriously consider this "challenge" and to look into it. And with her persistence and motivation, she was able to find an excellent solution. In fact, I like the new frame she found and fit my existing lenses into better than the prior frame that broke. So, I will continue to use Eye Care Associates in Stamford as my local eye glass/optician/OD shop for my ongoing eye glasses needs going forward, at least as long as I live in this neighborhood (and Lisa is there).
Had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Singh today at EyeCare's Stamford office. She was very thorough, attentive and meticulous in reviewing the health of my eye (which included examining the nerve behind my retina, eye pressure & motion), providing observations/suggestions of the photos taken of my eye, and identifying a prescription change that I made me comfortable. Dr Singh even took the extra few minutes to look at how my eyes are with and without my contacts to see if they were the fist fitted lenses for my eyes. The office was easy to find, and the staff were also very welcoming and efficient with the check-in/check-out process.
Dr. Singh was great! However, Lisa from the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. My speech and language delayed child just started talking, suspected autism as well. My son was excited and got loud as he watched Telletubies. I was redirecting him to be quiet, but he has a hard time understanding this. She was on the phone, looked over the desk and said "If he is going to keep screaming then you're going to have to take him out". Had she asked nicely, I would have understood but she screamed and charged at me when I told her he was a child with a disability and that I would not leave if she was going to ask rudely. She needs to be more sensitive and mindful that a child could have a disability and he's not speaking loudly or shouting because he is simply misbehaving. Then she proceeded to argue with me and scared my 8 year old daughter (who had just been seen by Dr. Singh) bringing her to tears. Terrible
experience. This happened in the Stamford location. She needs training on how to better communicate and be mindful, especially when she may encounter children with disabilities considering they take patients of all ages. More patience would be helpful too.

Dr. Schulman, as the owner and leader of your business, would have been more professional to hear from you as I called and left you messages, rather than to hear from you through a post. In either case, I made my experience clear and stated facts. I hope Lisa has been better trained especially with 30 years of experience as you claim. The mere fact that she has been working there for 30 years doesnt speak to the treatment of patients. My 8 year old was certainly traumatized but she learned a valuable life lesson: That we are advocates for my son with Autism and that people in the real world will be cruel. Thank you!

Everyone is very nice and I like that they explain everything when I ask about something
