I have been a patient of this location before it was My Eye Dr. I have seen it through its staff changes over the years. I have to say that the last few years I've seen Sandra after my appointment for the contact and eyewear and she is just a pleasure to deal with and does an excellent job going through and explaining everything. Thank you Sandra for being you and being patient with a Leo.
I am extremely disappointed with this office after being a loyal customer for over 9 years. My recent visit was a complete nightmare. The doctor made my prescription wrong, both for my glasses and my contact lenses, and instead of taking responsibility, the office refused to fix their mistake.
I spent close to $1,000 on glasses and contacts, only to find out the prescription was incorrect. When I brought this to their attention, they tried to charge me an additional $50 just to redo the prescription--even though the error was clearly theirs. That is completely unacceptable.
To make things worse, their only "solution" was to refund about $400 out of pocket for the glasses, leaving me stuck with incorrect contacts and wasted time, money, and frustration. No one wanted to take responsibility because the doctor who did my exam no longer works there, as if that somehow excuses the situation. As a patient, that is NOT my problem.
There was no accountability, no apology, and no real effort to make things right. For a practice that claims to care about patients, this was a horrible experience. After nearly a decade of loyalty, this is how I was treated.
I do not recommend this office to anyone. Save yourself the stress, wasted money, and disappointment and go somewhere that actually stands behind their work.
I have been a patient of Dr So for about 6yrs. He is thorough and answers all questions that you may have in regards to your eye health. He is a busy Dr, I do recommend you show up on time to your appts.
Dr. Shanon Mulligan is really great! I've been seeing her for years. Her staff is very nice as well. There hours have always been convenient for me.
Always feel rushed, I was treated in what was felt as rotten manner. The tempers were flaring the lenses were not the correct script for me. I've had big problems coming there in the past. The cost is never as quoted, always higher. I had Shannon for the doctor. Kevin So is really hard to get along with. I was not believed when I said the new lenses were much too strong. The older lenses were far better than the new one's, I could never of worn the new. I feel the staff and all involved were rotten
Hi Derri - hope you are well. I had the opportunity to see your sister, Sharon, yesterday at the eyeglass store. I asked for her as soon as I arrived. Me and Vinny brought Michael for a new pair of glasses. Your sister is so pretty and so sweet!! Of course Michael wouldn't get out of the car - again ! - So Sandra was so nice and went to the car to try on a new pair of glasses. She's so sweet - and knowledgeable- and spent a lot of time with us!! The store was busy, too! I'm looking forward to how he'll look with his new pair ! Have a nice day and weekend!
I wanted to share this message from one of my employees. She use to go to the Naugatuck office and shared with me how she struggled with Michael because he gets agitated when he is around people and would not get out of her car. She said it was really a challenge and very stressful for him. Last year I called my sister and told her I was sending this family to the Lakewood Rd office. I shared Michael's situation and asked if Sandra could go out to the car to adjust his glasses. Without hesitation they agreed, gave Michael some snacks, and were able to complete the adjustment. This year Michael needed glasses, which would be a bit more challenging but Sandra met the challenge! Diane was so thankful and impressed with the care that Sandra gave Michael that she sent me the above message. She said Sharon and Sandra were so good with Michael who needs special care. I was so thankful for the extra care that Sandra gave Michael that I sent her this candle, lighter, and special message of thanks! Great job again team Lakewood Road! I'll be there for my appointment this month!


They don't got machines that look at the retina only dialation. You're better off at America's best. Why did you cheap out on the machines it pays for itself it don't take a degree to know that.
Don't even bother calling, whoever is working front desk is upright lazy and rude. Everytime I have called I have been automatically been put on hold and the wait is never ending. People have other things to do than wait on hold for an hour, when the question could've been answered in literally 2 minutes max. Ended up hanging up after being on hold for a while, and she just straight up hung up on my face the second time. Then, ended up turning on an answering machine to where my calls wouldn't even go through anymore. Very unprofessional.
