Florida Eye Clinic of Altamonte Springs

I recently had eye surgery done at the center and I just want to give them a big shout out for the excellent care I received. The staff was incredibly professional, friendly and made feel completely at ease. The took the time to explain everything and the overall care was top-notch. The only note I'd add is that the location itself could use a bit of an upgrade to feel more modern and current. It's a minor detail but a little refresh would definitely match the high quality of their care. Overall I highly recommend if you need eye care.

Dr Pappas is a wonderful doctor. I am a new patient and I have found him to be knowledgeable and helpful in my treatment for Glaucoma. This would have been a five star review if not for the way I was treated by the office staff on my last visit. They insisted I pay my Medicare deductible of $140.77 even though I explained to them that my secondary insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield picks up this cost annually when they submit their claim. Part of my annual Medicare deductible had already been paid thru a claim filed by another doctor in January. I repeatedly explained they would be paid for the deductible but they told me they would cancel my appointment today and not allow me to see the doctor if I didn't pay. This after traveling over an hour to the office for my appointment. I had also requested that they send me a bill if indeed my insurance did not cover the deductible. Again I was told they could not do that. Totally unacceptable.

Very friendly staff. They do a good job with laser surgery and take good care of the patients. I think they could make the waiting area more inviting especially if they want your ride home to stick around for 3-4 hours during the surgery. If we have to be there at 6:45am, at least offer free hot tea or coffee, or have some for sale at that time. Change out the lighting to be warmer, and make waiting room more comfortable to wait in. Otherwise, expect to wait with the patient for 10-20 minutes while we make our way back to pick them up. Or call when they get out of surgery, and not after they are done in post op. Just some thoughts for improving the customer experience...

I have never been to this office. I came to his office because I wanted to continue with the same doctor I've had for maybe over 20, years, who is Dr. Grupp he is very professional, caring and attentive person. As I walk into this office, my first impression was wow this place has more personals they were very nice and it looks like it's very busy. But it has all the needs for my family. So if I plan to switch my family to this location, I just need to understand that the wait time is gonna be longer. Overall, I like the place it's almost 45 minutes away with trafficfrom where I live compared to the other one which was 10 minutes away from my house, but unfortunately Dr Grupp is no longer @ that location.

The nurse/tech named ALEXA was super great. She was very thorough and I really appreciate her kindness, patience and the time she took to explain each step of my examination. And Dr Sam was first rate as usual...very efficient coupled with a lot of care. Thank you very much indeed!!

Dr Lugo is the absolute best! He treated a corneal problem 12 years ago with me. And then a year ago I developed another corneal problem which he treated and resolved. He explained things so well and is so kind. He is so patient and thorough and spends as much time with you as you need. He has. the perfect bedside manner and so much expertise in his field. I am blessed to have found him.

Just had my 2nd eye done after 2 weeks with the laser eye correction and cataract surgery and I am ecstatic! Can already see better then with glasses and had it done one day ago. I am driving myself to my follow up appointment. Can not ask for any better then that. Have 100% trust in Dr. Nguyen and she works with an incredible staff, not only her office but also the surgical center. So many great people and you get to know them by name. Hi Joe.... Thanks everyone for making this frightening experience something easy.

I visited the Altamonte location and overall had a mixed experience. Scheduling an appointment by phone required a significant amount of time--I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The office itself was extremely busy and felt overcrowded. That said, the staff was consistently friendly and professional. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous, and Dr. Levando was exceptionally thorough, professional, and clearly well-informed. Dr. Levando and her clinical team absolutely deserve five stars. My appointment was scheduled for 9:45 a.m., but I was not seen by the technician until approximately 10:30 a.m. The patient flow process was somewhat inefficient, requiring trips between exam rooms and the waiting area before finally seeing the doctor, then meeting with the optical staff (who were also pleasant and helpful), and finally waiting again to check out and schedule a follow-up. From my scheduled appointment time to walking out the door, the visit took just over two hours. While the medical care itself was excellent, the extended wait times and overall process bring the experience down to about three stars. I will give four stars due to the professionalism of the doctor and the staff, they deserve it.
