I had a great experience at BJ's Optical! The staff was professional, friendly, and made the entire process quick and easy. The tele doctor appointment went smoothly, and I got my prescription without any hassle. Everything was organized, efficient and great price.

I've been to BJ's Optical before and had a great experience during my first visit for both my eyeglasses and contact lens exam. The gentleman at the front desk Gene, was incredibly kind and helpful, and Jose, the tech, was patient, attentive, and professional. The lady at the front desk, Sheryl I believe is her name, helped me order my glasses at that time, and everything went smoothly. Fast forward to today -- I called to refill my contact lenses, and she was the person who answered the phone. The conversation started off fine; she mentioned that she couldn't find any prescription for me in their system and said I'd need to come in for a re-exam, but didn't offer to help schedule an appointment. I then mentioned that I also needed to refill my boyfriend's contact lenses and offered to provide his name and phone number. I had to repeat myself several times before she understood, which was fine -- it happens -- but I could tell she was getting irritated. Sherryl eventually came back on the line saying she couldn't find his information either. After confirming his phone number with her, she said it must be under a different number. I told her I'd verify it and call back to complete his order, but she cut me off with, "You don't need to call back, you need to come in to be examined." That was the end of that call. I later found the business card Jose had given me at my initial visit and decided to call the number on it -- which turned out to be the same main optical line. She answered again. I asked to speak with Jose and she responded, "No, you're not going to talk to him because I already spoke to you a couple of minutes ago and told you that you need to come in." I explained that I wanted to leave him a message since he had personally given me his card and told me to reach out if I had questions. She then said he was with a patient and couldn't speak right now. Again, I asked to leave a message, which she took, but when I tried to clarify my boyfriend's information again, she interrupted me mid-sentence to say that Jose had another patient waiting and might not be able to call me back soon. When I told her that she was being rude, her only response was "ok." For reference, my first call was at 4:11 pm and the second was at 4:24 pm today, 10/27/25. I truly hope management reviews these calls (which I assume are recorded for training and quality purposes) because this is not the type of customer service I expected based on my previous experience with this location. Ironically, my boyfriend called right after me -- and she transferred him to Jose. It's disappointing because everyone else at this location, especially Jose and the gentleman who helped me during my first visit, has been wonderful. However, after today's experience, I honestly don't even want to order my contacts or do business with them again. I genuinely hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience, as the rest of the team clearly cares about their patients.

From the eye exam to picking up the pair glasses everything was easy and stress free. I appreciate you guys taking the time to make my son feel comfortable and confident of his response during the appointment. Thank you for everything!

Service was great both when I dropped off my prescription and chose frames and then again when I picked them up. They also cleaned and adjusted the fit of my new glasses. I was told they would be ready in about 10 days, but it was less than a week.

We love the personalized and lovely service the man provdes us every time we see him.

Had a wonderful eyeglass repair experience. Gene is super friendly and helpful. Within 15 minutes we were on our way. Thanks again Gene.
