My appointment was at 5:15. Evidently, there were two other people scheduled for 515 even though there's only one doctor that comes every 15 days to the store to accommodate patients that were doubled and tripled up. There was also multiple people scheduled for 5 PM and 4 PM and 4:30 PM After two hours, the store literally closed, and I didn't feel comfortable being the last patient rushed by a Doctor who was slammed with patients because instead of working more than one day a week he works one day every 15 days so he had a ton of patients waiting for him and it was the most dehumanizing factory like setting. I wasted my time going there and I highly encourage you to find a local small business eye doctor because these corporate conglomerate do not care about your time they will schedule multiple people in the same timeslot and then just shrug their shoulders apologize and offer a free bottle of water as if I didn't come with a bottle of water anyway. They offered me a free pair of sunglasses, but what I want is my seven-year-old to have a Doctor who isn't burnt out making sure that my son can see the way he needs to see. It was such a waste of time going, they just kept apologizing, asking for my patience as if their predatory practice of doubling up appointment times and tripling appointment times is one time mistake. We know this is how they operate, it's so greedy. I know the staff is underpaid and I know the top brass are making all the money outsourcing costs to call center so that they are timeslots doubled up and that's their excuse. What a terrible experience overall. Highly do not recommend. I wish I had come to this page sooner to see all the one star reviews about the same exact experience that I have with their ridiculous nonsense. Reply of them escalating this internally, and they're gonna fix it. Over a year worth of one star reviews with my same experience. I definitely should've come to this review page 1st to see what I was getting into and to not waste my time. They are aware of this problem and they are just never gonna fix it because they are greedy and they don't care about anything except their dollar bottom line which is ridiculous because I would scream from the mountain top how happy I am if they actually did their job and they would make money because I would actually come with all of my children, but instead they choose to just be a despicable company

I visited this location on Sunday, 11/23/25 at 2:30. No other customers were there. In and out in about 30 minutes with eye exam from a virtual doctor. It was an awesome experience. The virtual doctor was wonderful. At first I was concerned at how this virtual eye exam would work, but it was actually a great experience. I went in for the $79 deal and am very happy with my glasses. I paid $79 as advertised. Prior to visiting this location, I had been to the Kendall location and a lady there said if my eye exam showed over a certain number the $79 wouldn't apply and the cost would rise to $134. There was no such thing on the fine print in the ad. I left that location and then went to Cutler Bay. Pierre at the Cutler Bay location was great! Keren handled the eye exam. Everything went smoothly at this location. I didn't have to wait 2 weeks for my glasses like at other places. I was very happy with the service I received from Pierre and Keren. They were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this location because I had a great experience there.

1/5 - Misleading promo, rushed experience, and no transparency I went to Stanton Optical because their ad plays constantly advertising a $79 exam plus two glasses. I made an appointment and told the staff I have insurance but wanted to know what would be cheaper--using my insurance or the $79 promotion. Right away, the employee helping me was difficult to understand due to a very thick accent, and instead of actually checking my insurance he basically said it's either insurance or the promotion. When I said I had insurance, he immediately dismissed it and said something like, "Oh Aetna Vision, we don't cover," without even looking at my insurance card or verifying anything. It felt like they didn't want to even try to run insurance. I requested an exam for both glasses and contact lenses, and the experience only got worse: No privacy during testing. The machines used for eye pressure and other tests are set up outside the exam rooms, where people can see and hear you. The technicians literally had to hold a cardboard box over my head to block light so the machine could read properly. That felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Virtual doctor with little warning. I was seated in an exam room and then a doctor appeared on a monitor. It turns out there was no doctor physically present--it was a virtual exam. No one explained this clearly upfront, and I felt rushed throughout the entire visit. Misleading "two glasses" selection. The "sale" frames were extremely limited--maybe around 20 frames total. Because the selection was so small, I ended up choosing two of the same frame. That's not what most people expect when they hear "two pairs." Contact lens confusion / incomplete exam. While I was waiting, one of the monitors was playing info about bifocal/multifocal contacts, so clearly they market contact lenses heavily. But when I received my prescription, the exam was only for distance ("Far") vision. When I questioned it, the employee said I "didn't specify," which is ridiculous--patients don't know what to "specify." If different tests are needed for different prescriptions, that should be explained clearly during the visit. Overall, I left feeling like the goal was to push charges and avoid insurance, not provide transparent care. This was my first and last visit to Stanton Optical.

I had an excellent experience with Pierre! He went above and beyond to help me with my glasses, making sure everything was perfect. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my options clearly. Thanks to his professionalism and care, I left feeling confident and happy with my glasses. Highly recommend Pierre if you're looking for amazing service!

You will not see a dr here. There is literally a technian on a tv screen that administers the eye exam. I guess that's great if you don't have any eye issues or concerns. I've been here for an hour and 45 minutes and asked to speak to the doctor and there is no doctor. They're waiting for him to call to talk to me. Avoid

Hasana is amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my new lenses fit my frames perfectly. They were sent in over sized but she make it happen and shaped them down to size and they are perfect. Love this location!

Do not recommend coming to this place. Made an appointment for noon to get my eye exam. The place was empty when I arrived (only one person I. Front of me). I was able to leave around 3 pm. Incredible waste of time. The staff was just walking around, someone in a white coat was on his phone watching the news instead of helping moving the line along. The doctor was over a zoom call, which was not explained to me beforehand, something the staff does not knows if the client is comfortable with, and after waiting over two hours to be seen... you are left with few options. The manager tried to offer a discount and apologized for the delay, but reading the review this seems to be a systemic issue at the place.

They are the worst! They don't advertise the Doctor is virtual! The virtual doctor was changing the lenses too fast so I couldn't tell the difference. I had to ask her to slow down three times and she had a bad attitude about it. And when my glasses were supposed to be ready they weren't there. They were sent back bcuz they were made wrong and that happened three times! My exam was 12/20/25 and to this day 2/9/2026 I still don't have my glasses and am fighting to get a refund!!! I went to the one in Cutler Bay, FL. Just go some where else! They suck!!!
