Excellent eye care and full service from thorough exams to eye glasses and if needed surgery to include cataract lens. The technician Jennifer was excellent, providing all procedures to include refractory for prescription, and several other processes prior to Dr DiGaetano's final exam. Very efficient and effective, the best!!

I came to DiGaetano Eye Center expecting a smooth, professional cataract-surgery process, but my experience was the opposite. On my first visit, I met with Dr. Acevedo. We discussed the surgical plan in detail, selected the lens type, and I was instructed to stop wearing my contact lens and use glasses for two weeks so my corneas could "rest" before measurement. I followed the instructions exactly. I had asked a straightforward question about this requirement, and the response I received was, "you're thinking too hard about it." When I returned for my second appointment, expecting to have my eyes measured as instructed, I was told the visit was instead "to discuss the surgical plan." I explained that the plan had already been discussed during the first visit. It turned out the notes from my first appointment were never entered into my chart, which caused the entire scheduling sequence to be incorrect. During that second visit, I was also told I needed medical clearance from my cardiologist. But when I went to my cardiologist, I learned that the results of those tests wouldn't even be available until after my scheduled surgery date. When I returned to DiGaetano's office for clarification, I was told they had never requested medical clearance in the first place. At this point it felt like I was being sent in circles: * Told to rest my corneas for accurate measurements, then not measured * Told the second visit was for planning, when the plan had already been completed * Told to obtain medical clearance, then told they never asked for it When I spoke with the office manager, she told me the doctor was dismissing me as a patient. I requested to speak with Dr. DiGaetano directly. She called me, but rather than answering my specific questions, much of the conversation focused on her years of experience and training. The specific measurement question I asked was never addressed. Given the miscommunication, contradictory instructions, and the inability to provide clear answers to straightforward questions, I ultimately decided I would not feel comfortable having anyone at this practice perform surgery or work around my eyes. I hope this review helps other patients understand my experience before deciding where to go.

My initial consult appointment for an upcoming cataract procedure went very well. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Office operated very efficiently and feel I am in very good hands here!

Drs. DiGaetano, Acevedo and Li provided me exceptional, compassionate care during an emergency corneal abrasion. They collaborated on my care, even conferred with a cornea specialist to ensure I had the most comprehensive treatment plan for my eye injury. The entire staff was concerned and compassionate. I can't thank this team enough for their exceptional service and genuine caring.
