Amit Chokshi, M.D.

Dr. Amit Chokshi is an excellent surgeon. At first meeting, you know he cares about his patients and listens to their expected outcome. Dr. Chokshi then discusses and recommends best options to achieve success. The patient decides their path, not forced but always given answers to any questions to help make their decision. The doctor is well-educated, well-tested with 1000's of surgeries and high % of successful premium lens surgeries. I had no issues, and totally satisfied with his guidance and personalize treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Chokshi. His staff and nurses at the surgery center agree he is an excellent doctor working to make lives better with good sight!

I strongly advise others to reconsider using this office. Communication has been frustrating from the start -- staff members come across as dismissive, and I often had to repeat myself multiple times during phone calls just to be understood. I underwent two separate exams, yet my prescription still does not feel accurate. Despite that, they require multiple follow-up visits throughout the year. Unfortunately, after experiencing several unexpected personal hardships that required me to reschedule appointments, I was later informed that I would be charged $400 because I was supposedly outside of their "annual window." There was no flexibility, compassion, or willingness to work with me given the circumstances. The entire experience felt more focused on billing than patient care. I would not recommend this office to others.

Staff was fast attentive very professional very courteous. The doctor was phenomenal he was in and out it wasn't a lot of time that we took together but all the preliminaries were done so he didn't need to spend a lot of time with me at that point I look forward to continuing to work with this group of people. My surgery is in January. Looking forward to writing another review post cat surgery Update: 1/6/2026 Cataract surgery was a complete success! I have forgotten how beautiful colors truly are for I've lived in such a gray foggy haze for the last 3 years thank you Dr Chokshi! At the age of 57 I feel like I have a new lease on life just because I can now enjoy reading again I can see the beautiful colors again I'm not living in a constant state of fog, this is incredible and I still have the left eye that needs surgery. It gets even better. This Dr is phenomenal

I was a referral from Family Eye Care, Dr. William to this office, thereby assigned to see Dr. Chokshi. As a new patient, I didn't know what to really expect, although instructions, directives, and expectations had been given well in advance for my visit. The location is an easy access and lovely surrounding and atmosphere. The entrance to the office was very welcoming, and the young lady that greeted me had the most beautiful friendly smile. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. The office was spacious, and pleasant to the eyes. My appointment was 2-fold; visual testing and seeing the doctor. The technician that completed tests was very friendly; helpful with explaining all the testing processes. She was a gem and extremely patient with this seasoned citizen. Eventually, I was seen by Dr. Chokshi, who introduced himself to me and my friend. He was indeed very detailed with his examination of my eyes and results of tests. The doctor was patient, he did not rush. Dr. Chokshi, explained results and offered his professional opinion, advisement, and recommendations at a level of my understanding. He, also allowed me to ask questions. Overall, I was extremely very pleased with the services that I received from this office and doctor. Would I recommend this practice? Indeed I would. Thank you Dr. Chokshi and your great team of staff for providing professional, impeccable, and trusting service to me. I can't imagine anyone receiving less.

I have great confidence in dr. Chokshi. Both my husband and I have been seeing him regularly for 11 years. Although their new location in St. Johns on 210 is new and more convenient for us, the parking is terrible and handicap access is non-existent. Getting from the parking lot to the entrance is extremely dangerous when one needs to use a cane. For a new location and a medical building, planners certainly didn't take the handicapped patients into account. My last visit. I observed 3 patients using a cane and one patient almost fell outside the building due to no safe drop off area.

Great experience from first walking in to the new office in St Johns to check in, were ready for me on time and took great care of me & my eyes! So glad this new location is only 10 minutes away from my home, great addition to the community!

Everyone always so polite & courteous. Very competent employees. The doctors are great. Always listen to your questions. Had lazer surgery in 2012 & no problems!! Wish I had done it sooner!

I think dr chokshi is a great dr. I trust him. he put in my cataracs 10 yrs ago.i only need glasses looking at computer.
