Bartram Eye

The new office is easy to reach and in a very nice plaza. As always, Dr Patel and staff are kind and friendly and there to assist and make you comfortable. A very clean and pleasant atmosphere. I continue to go this office because Dr Patel takes time to explain my eye care and monitor me in an very understanding and caring manner. He and his staff are so pleasant and explain the billing process. Welcome to Carla!

We have been seeing Dr. Patel for about 6+ years now. We were with him at his old practice and were thrilled he moved over to Bartram Park. His staff is always quick, efficient, friendly, and make you feel welcomed. Dr. Patel is punctual, thorough, and really listens to his patients. He also worked with me to perfect my prescription glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Bartram Eye Care.

Dr. Patel is great. He explains everything to you and listens to your concerns. Great eye doctor. Everyone I have had the pleasure of working with at this office has been nothing but professional and made my experiences there easy and enjoyable.

Terrible experience with Dr. Patel and his staff. We had to pay out of pocket for an exam which I wish we were told about prior to them doing it because we have never paid for it out of pocket with our insurance. Our allowance for contacts was deducted from our insurance plan and we never even ordered from them. It took about 8 calls including Dr. Patel trying to take the matter into his own hands since the staff denied it. Dr. Patel claimed they don't touch the allowance from insurance plans. To make a long story short, our insurance plan contacted the office themselves since they billed us incorrectly. The woman at the front desk apologized and refunded our contact lens allowance that we never used with them in the end. Keep in mind, this was after multiple arguments with the staff and doctor who claimed they had not touched our allowance. It honestly was the worst experience we ever had with a doctor and staff. They were rude and condescending throughout the whole communication phase on the phone and in person! I hope no one gets treated the way we did here. We are health professionals ourselves and this is not the way to communicate with customers especially when they were wrong on their end from the beginning. The lack of knowledge, poor customer service, and incompetence of handling issues were by far the most stressful time I have ever experienced with an eye doctor!

Update: the new office manager resolved my issue in one day. It is sad that one employee can ruin an office. But hats off to an amazing office manager and a talented and caring doctor. Leaving the office. Horrible staff. Amazing doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Patel's for several years (since he was located on Baymeadows.) And after a horrible eye exam with another office I figured the drive from airport to Bartram was worth it to see this amazing doctor. However, the staff at this location is very unprofessional and uncaring. I called the office a month ago for an issue I was having and needing a call back, I have yet to receive any feedback. Dr. Patel has never taken more than a few days to call his patients back. I'm assuming my message never made it to him. When I called to check the status of my message, I was told he will call me back when he has time. I really miss Oksana and the old staff. I will be gathering my records and going elsewhere. Horrible service can ruin an office and that is what happened here.

Scheduled a routine eye exam. Was given a vision test, without going into my eye issues due to my work, Dr. Patel was informative, educating me along the way and provided that absolute perfect prescription which has changed my life now that I do not deal with so much eye fatigue. It is wonderful. Was not able to get a full exam with pupil dilation but will be returning as soon as my schedule permits to get that done.

I went here because they were the closest to my house and accepted my insurance. There seems to be a lack of communication between Dr Patel and the woman who answers the phone (I can't recall her name, I think it's Matilda). Dr Patel did great with fitting me for hard contacts and glasses... Updated to 4 stars because Dr Patel called me to apologize for dropping the ball. I will if things improve moving forward communication wise

Took my daughter to see Dr. Patel today and it was an awesome experience. She was nervous going in but Dr. Patel made her feel at ease. His knowledge and his bedside manner were both amazing. Highly recommend him and his office.
