I had the pleasure of having Dr. Laurie Bateh conduct my most recent eye exam. From the get go, the staff was very welcoming and friendly! During my exam, Dr. Bateh made sure she took the time to conduct a thorough exam, answering all my questions, and really showed compassion and care despite it being busy! You can tell these people really care. Their glasses selection was great, so many different styles and brands and I got my new pair of glasses in no time! I look forward to my next appointment and a sincere thank you to Dr. Laurie Bateh and her team
Got my children and I glasses from here and we received great/welcoming customer service from every staff member there! I actually arrived the day before the set appointment for my daughter and she squeezed me in to see the doctor since I was already there. Overall, my kids and I had a great experience here. I recommend for sure!
Me and 4 of my kids came here for eye exams and glasses and we were treated so well by every staff, we didn't have to wait long at all and everyone was very friendly and well mannered, they made me feel so comfortable, it was easy to get an appointment, and they made my kids feel comfortable and safe, I love it, and I will definitely always come back.
My mom was treated so nicely by the doctors here and the tech. He was awesome as well. The doctor who did mom's exam was very professional and caring. Then the doctor who helped mom pick out her frames was very smart and had a good eye for style and the shape of mom's face. Together they are a good team. The receptionist Holly was very sweet and nice as well. If you need glasses or exam, Bateh is the way. It the place to go for all your optical needs.
Honestly I was less than impressed with the way I was treated when I brought my daughter to get her eyes checked. I had to bring my three-year-old son with me who has a mild set of autism. unfortunately I cannot afford to pay a babysitter to watch my kid so I can take my daughter to an appointment alone. The staff was very rude one of the ladies she was a bigger white woman came into the lobby and told my son that he needs to be quiet when all he was doing was singing and laughing saying that if there's an emergency can't hear the phone and I told her he was just laughing calm down. If it wasn't for the fact that my daughter was already in the back getting her eyes checked I would have left right away and my daughter desperately need glasses. When I try to go to the back with my children the doctor rudely pause and stopped me saying that I cannot bring my child back here instead of saying you know whatever the reason is he wouldn't let me bring my son back there and wouldn't let me into the appointment with my daughter. So I was forced to sit in my vehicle and in the lobby. No one came to update me on the status or what was being done to my child. Every time I ask it seems like the receptionist was annoyed except for one she was a skinnier brunette white woman she seems a little nicer but the other bigger white woman she was very rude. Every time I ask a question she would sigh like I was an annoyance. You have my daughter in the back and he won't let me go back there, I have the right to ask what's taking so long. While she was back there, to add insult to injury they dilated my daughter's eyes without my consent now. I'm no fool but I'm pretty sure that before you do anything to my child because she is a minor you are supposed to ask before you do it. Now I know that with a dilation you only supposed have some vision impairment for a couple hours but after the visit my daughter 24 hours later was complaining about her eyes. I didn't know that my daughter got her eyes DILATED until she told me when I called them I asked the person why would you dilate my daughter's eyes without my permission aren't you supposed to tell me before you do these things?! You guys were very rude to me you wouldn't let me go to the back and then you dilate my minor eyes without telling me! Her response was what we thought you knew I said how would I know when you guys don't communicate. She then proceeded by saying she was going to ask the doctor and get back to me she calls back about 20 30 minutes later and tells me that I need to consult with my pediatrician I said you guys should have never dilated My Daughter's Eyes without permission and whatever my pediatrician says you better hope nothing's wrong with her or we'll have a problem and I hung up. I thank God that after calling my pediatrician I gave her some eye drops and she felt better. This was the worst experience I've ever had at any establishment!!! Honestly I just want my daughter's glasses and I'll be done with them. I'll never return. Very poor customer service very rude people you don't communicate and doing unauthorized procedures to minors with out consent!?! You guys should be ashamed!
This is a Review that I posted a day ago. This copy contains a correction: Initially I stated that I dealt with Dr. Amanda Bateh. This Morning I became aware that it was Dr. Laurie Bateh, that I dealt with.

I've had around 15 visits at this location in the past years. I never had a problem with Dr. Norman S. Bateh or his two daughters, Dr. Laurie N. Bateh and Dr. Amanda C. Bateh, who also work there as eye doctors. However, the front desk help is usually rude. I went in for a visit a couple of days ago. The two girls sitting in the front attended to me. (I use the terms "girls" because they were behaving like little girls). The one to the right (when you're facing them) is the one who verifies insurance eligibility. She informed me that my insurance is cancelled. The girl to the left said that the Self Pay amount is $110. During the conversation I explained that the previous month I had a "Share of Cost", and summited additional paperwork work, so it must be my household income that Caused my insurance to be cancelled. Then the girl to the left, said that my visit will be $175 because I have a "Share of Cost". I explained that I don't have a Share of Cost, that they just checked and confirmed that my insurance is cancelled.
She stated that "If there's a possibility that I might file a claim with my insurance company, that I have the pay the $175."
I explained that there is NO possibility that I'll be filing a claim because the policy is CANCELLED, and they just confirmed it!
She insisted that I will have to pay the $175.
After going back and forth for a minute, Dr. Laurie N. Bateh, came out to find out what's going on?
Dr. Norman S. Bateh, also came out and stood by.
His daughter (Laurie N. Bateh) came out and asked, "what's going on?" I said, "Let me explain." She said "no' let the clerk explain. And ignored me. I reminded her that she knows me (considering that she treated me several times and was the one who treated me 3 months prior and actually set up this appointment.) She actually shook her head and said "No, I don't know you".
Then after she listened to her lying clerk, she proceeded to inform me of the same b.s. her clerk was saying.
In the meantime, Dr. Noman S. Beteh (Who's treated me many, many times and has been inches from my face) was standing by, and I said "Hi" and reminded him that he knows me. He also said, "I don't know you."
The whole experience was totally disrespectful, and the fact that the Bosses are allowing their customers to be treated with such contempt and disrespect, while they stand by and enable it, reflects their true characters.
The fact that there's several reviews on here of patients making similar complaints and this kind of disrespect and contempt towards the customer is still going on, shows that Dr. Norman S. Bateh, and, at least, his daughter, Dr. Laurie Bateh, are okay with it and the way they run business.
Bottom Line, I didn't get an apology as a customer, and if they would had reviewed the recordings, they should have immediately terminated these incompetent girls, and contacted me to profusely apologize.
I highly suggest that you find another provider to service your needs, unless you are okay in giving your business to people who "DON'T KNOW YOU" in an effort to defend their trouble making clerks.

Update: 5/20/2024
I received a phone call from Dr. Laurie Bateh, instead of apologizing, she stated that she was offended by my review. She corrected that it was she, that dealt with the situation that day, and not her sister (like I previously thought).
She didn't call to apologize, but to continue with the same demining attitude by stating how offended SHE feels and how I got a lot of things wrong in my review.
Think about that. She, literally, called me at 8 am to school me about MY own Review...
It's like she was chastising me for not getting her approval or something...
No Remorse, No Apology, No Respect.
