Clinton and Kelly are genuinely some of the nicest business owners I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. They're thoroughly committed to making sure you are happy with your glasses. I had them re-lens two frames, each with some unique touches that other opticians simply don't and can't offer. The all gold frame has a blue gradient tint with a ruby flash coating that came out phenomenal. The tortoise and gold frame has a gold flash coating on a clear lens to add a fun dynamic to them. I'm incredibly happy with the outcome of each, the pictures barely do them justice. I will not be sourcing lenses from anyone else from here on out. Thank you Clinton and Kelly!

03/03/2026: I had THE BEST experience meeting the owners, Clinton and Kelly, for the first time!! If you are a prodigy of the 70's and 80's, you know what excellent customer service there was from the Family-Owned stores. As soon as you walk into Davalt Optical, there is a sense of Heart, Soul and most importantly Care. Stepping in was the start to a wonderful visit in searching for a pair of eyeglasses. Clinton and Kelly are the perfect couple to own this business as they are customer friendly with a huge emphasis on caring for your eyewear. Both of them together took 30 minutes to look for the perfect frames for me! Wow! And Kelly even adjusted my current glasses which were sitting crooked. Their shop is very conveniently located next to the "Jax Center Garage 1 West Bay Street". If you are traveling from interstate 95, cross the Main Street (route 90) bridge into downtown. Once you cross the bridge, being in the lefthand lane on the bridge, turn left onto East Bay Street. There's a stop light at the end of the bridge. Once making the left onto East Bay Street, stay in the righthand lane crossing through the intersection of North Main Street at which point the name of the street you're on will change to West Bay Street. On your right-side, there will be the entrance to the garage. A sign sits outside the entrance signifying Davalt Optical parking. Arriving and parking was super easy and super convenient. And the customer service is hands down over any eyewear experience I've had that wasn't family owned!! If you're reading this review, you're searching like I was for a business that truly cares for your eyewear. You've come to the right place!! There's a lot of frames to choose from. Enjoy!

Retro-stylish with a cool urban vibe, this place is a hidden gem. The husband is very retro and effortlessly stylish -- you can tell designing eyewear is truly his passion. The wife brings a subtle, refined touch, and together they absolutely know their craft. They can recreate virtually any frame you've seen in a magazine, runway, or anything you describe,, they have you covered! Options can range from a budget-friendly to full celebrity Status. They helped me select the perfect pair of glasses, and I receive at least two, to three, if not more, compliments a day on my JISCO frames. Exceptional style, range, and service all in one spot. Thai place is awesome!!!!! Locally owned and "craftsmanship" is truly what they're selling. Not only do they HAND MAKE custom glasses, but they also offer a really wide selection of both traditional and fun frames. Pictured is a custom pair inlaid with rhino bone and stingray! Not only are the owners the coolest humans, but the store feels like stepping into a museum. It's a totally groovy, curated experience with tons of treats for your eyes (pun intended??). Worth a stop!

Had broken a pair of my favorite vintage glasses and one of the lenses popped out due to me stepping on them by accident they fixed it in 3min and didn't charge me and after gave me glasses cleaner and wipes like what!? This place is awesome and they are so nice and really care about the customer! I'm going back after I get my prescription to get another pair of vintage glasses since davalt has such a wide variety of vintage glasses unlike your big brand name glasses stores.
