Dr Carvell & Associates

I love Dr. Carvell, I've been seeing her for almost 20 years. I'm very pleased with her knowledge, she's warm and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Carvell talks to her patients like she's known them forever. She and her team will work with you any way they can to make things right for you, your health and most importantly your vision.

I have been going to this office almost two decades with no issues. Apparently they have been purchased by AEG Vision which is owned by JP Morgan Chase. I paid cash for my glasses and visit. They are now using a different lab as of October 2025 when I had my appointment. Had to send the glasses back three times. Could not see out of the glasses Tried to get a refund. The office manager said a refund check would be cut. Not true. CORPORATE doesn't issue checks but they can send you a prepaid card instead. Weeks after the fact. None of this information was given. No one mentioned this nice little office that I have supported for all these years has been sold to a corporation. No notice to their customers. To say this experience has been challenging is an understatement. Such a disappointment. Beware folks.

Myself and my family love going to see Dr. Carville, she is so personable, so caring and a top-notch professional. She listens and she is clear with her findings. The team she has working there are also, kind, caring, and professional. Highly recommend.

I visited this office recently and left feeling more disappointed than I expected. I barely recognized anyone on staff anymore, which was unsettling. The young woman at checkout was pleasant and professional, but the experience took a turn once I sat down with the staff member who assists with glasses. Her demeanor was cold, and it was clear she had little interest in helping me. I only needed a simple adjustment, yet I felt brushed off, unheard, and as though she was eager for me to leave rather than resolve the issue properly. It's unfortunate, because my family has been seeing Dr. Carvell for a long time. I may be looking elsewhere for us to go from now on if this is how it's going to be now.

If I can give this establishment 0 stars I would. I was told that I can try out any contacts within my trial period if I just gave them a call. I tried to call and ask for a different pair of trial contacts and was told I need to come in for a whole different "try in" appointment, instead. This is NOT what the doctor mentioned to me. I've left voicemails and no call back was given. I scheduled an appointment finally, and they told me that they've been bought out so if they wanted to ask Dr. Carvel they couldn't anymore and now I have to PAY again even though I just paid in August. They also proceeded to tell me that I have a balance that my insurance denied, which my insurance covers a yearly eye exam. They proceeded to cancel my appointment and send me a text message instead of calling me like a professional, when I DID not want my appointment canceled. Mind you, I was given a prescription eye drop that I had to call for to be sent to the pharmacy 10 times. VERY rude, disorderly & unprofessional company. Strongly encourage you to go elsewhere.

The staff is friendly and professional. The doctors are knowledgeable and through. They explain what they are observing throughout the visit. They even sent notes to my primary physician. Always a great experience.

Dr Carnell is great. She takes time with her patients. Always answers any concerns. The assistant with helping to find new frames is very helpful also. But the assistant who gets you really for the doctor is not very personable. Also when I went to checkout, I was under the assumption the total amount for the visit was what the assistant who sold me the frames and lens gave me. When I checked out I was told the total was $34.00 higher. When I question the amount, I was told Medicare didn't cover part of my exam. don't understand why I was not told that up front. Just wish I was told up front, I don't like surprises when checking out. When I am told one price and then the add on, not good.

I went into this office to inquire about glasses, insurance, etc. The person who assisted me " Frances" was so professional and very knowledgeable. She is so sweet. She assisted me with respect and listened to all my concerns. I will be back to this office. This will be my new optometry office. Thank you Frances!!
