Worst experience of my life - stay away from I was referred to Dr. James Staman by A1A Eyecare for a retinal detachment surgery that was supposed to happen within 24 hours of my visit. Needing this surgery came as a shock and upon visiting Staman he in a very unkindly manner told me ?I have grim news for you and you are going to lose your vision?. He then proceeded to tell me that he could not do surgery on me and I was too far gone to do the surgery (as told by my optometrist A1A eyecare who gave me this awful referral) on Friday so let's go with Monday afternoon. I then told him I was going to ask for a second opinion and he did not like that comment at all. It was a gut, wrenching experience to be spoken to in such a rude manner. He went on to inform me of all the limitations that would happen. I did not want a 77 year old performing surgery on me. He should be retired. In the end, I canceled the Monday surgery and found someone amazing in Jacksonville who operated on me the very next day thank god.

Dr Staman is an extraordinary Dr. He's professional and courteous, takes his time with you. Listens to your questions and will ask if you have questions for him. The office is extremely clean. The entire staff is amazing, friendly and very caring. The office is run very well from the time you walk in until check out. I have had nothing but great experiences when in his office. I trust his treatment and care 100%. Thank you Dr Staman and Staff!

This is a very well run office. The patient process is straightforward and efficient. The staff is very caring and professional and constantly takes the patient wishes and well-being into consideration as their primary focus. Dr. Staman is an extraordinary physician who is willing to incorporate the patient's thoughts and experiences into his decisions on treatment. And on top of all of this, Dr. Staman and the entire staff are friendly, patient, and such a pleasure with which to engage.

I was visiting Florida from out of state and had an eye issue that needed to be addressed immediately. The office worked me in when I called. Everyone from the receptionists, the technicians, and Dr. Staman were professional and courteous. The office was clean, we'll organized, and running smoothly. Dr. Staman did a thorough examination, answered all my questions, gave me preventive measures, and gave me literature for further information on my eye condition.
