Appointment time of 2 -3 hours for an annual checkup is ridiculous. And what it turned out to be was 15 minutes of professional contact and two hours sitting in the waiting room. You do not respect my time with your attempt at maximizing your throughput. I was pleased with the cataract surgery performed by Dr. Lott, but I will not drive 1 1/2 hours each way to spend three hours in your office for no reason. You have lost me as a patient.

I just received a call from this office reminding me to schedule a routine appointment. I don't go to this office, but I recently had cataract surgery by Dr Freidl from the Neptune Beach office. I have already been seen by my referring doctor, Dr Mack, for my post surgery exam. I don't understand why I am being contacted when I have completed all aspects of my post surgical care. I liked Dr Freidl, but I felt the process of getting to see her initially took much longer than it should have. I just felt it was factory line medicine - even in the surgical process. I'd gladly be a return patient for my eye care if I was sure it didn't take 2 hours to be seen. The more patients you get in may be good for the bottom line, but it's not a good business practice if the patient spends more time waiting to be seen than they actually do with the provider for a routine evaluation or cataract surgery. I would gladly recommend Dr Freidl as a provider. It's unfortunate that she is working for a practice that seems to be prioritizing the number of patients being seen (profit) over quality of care which includes the waiting time. I've worked in health care, so this comment comes from my experience in clinics & hospitals, and in the military.

Whoever answers the phone for this location sucks at their job, continuously rude, can barely understand him and he doesn't work with anyone's schedule. If I wanted to go there I'd have to wait 3 months to see the dr now I have to drive to fernindina to see him sooner. Other than the nasty person who answers their phones, the doctors and assistants are great, never had any issues and they're always super friendly. If it wasn't for the person on the phone, they'd have higher stars cause the staff is great and worked with me for everything

Very easy visit! They called me back about 5 minutes after I arrived. Caitlin, the tech that examined my eyes first, was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr Cowart is always great! The office is always spotlessly clean, and everyone that works there is smiling friendly and helpful.
