Zero stars. Can we please hire professional people at the front desk? The front desk woman (she has long green nails), I believe her name is Natasha was extremely rude and aggressive towards me. She asked for my insurance card and I showed her it on my phone, to which she rudely yelled at me that she needs a physical card. My insurance company emailed me a digital card this year, no physical card. I wasn't informed when I made my appointment that I needed a physical insurance card. Shortly after this incident, another patient checked in, without an insurance card, just had a photograph on her phone and the front desk lady said sweetly oh baby, that's okay just please bring it next time... So what's the difference between my digital insurance card produced from the insurance company website vs a photo on a cell phone? I know the difference... This office staff is extremely prejudiced against certain customers and exercise their limited "authority" over your valuable time and experience at this doctors office... It's extremely similar to the DMV, if you know what I mean... I'm currently writing this as I'm sitting in the lobby over an hour after my appointment time, as everyone with an appointment before and now after me has already been taken back for their exams.
This office used to be run like a tight ship, unfortunately it's completely devolved into an unprofessional and aggressively prejudiced office if you are not "African"american.

Dr Schnipper is an outstanding ophthalmologist who is an excellent surgeon. Dr Schnipper is not only the ultimate professional, he is also very caring, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Dr Hoffman is the optometrist in the practice who has the same attributes as Dr Schnipper; they make the perfect team with an outstanding staff. I've been a patient of theirs for years and couldn't be happier.
I arrived early for my scheduled appointment and expected to be seen on time. However, I was not called in until after I raised a concern, even though another patient who arrived approximately 15 minutes later was seen before me. After being assisted by the nurse, I waited for over 40 additional minutes without further updates. Ultimately, I had to leave for my next appointment. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this facility based on this visit.
I had a great routine eye exam with the Dr. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The exam felt unhurried, and he made the entire experience comfortable and easy. Dr. Hoffman was also very kind and professional--highly recommend!
Office staff is rude. I called to schedule a new patient appointment for my daughter and got put on hold for 8 minutes only after she asked my insurance. She finally came back on the phone to tell me that they cannot bill my medical insurance for eye exams. I wasn't sure if heard her correctly because she included some more information than that, so I asked her to make sure that I understood it wouldn't fall under my medical and only my vision. She said yes ma'am and abruptly hung up on me. She didn't even give me an opportunity to ask if they accept my vision or if I could do private pay without insurance- just hung up.
Wait times are horrible. I had cataract surgery. I went for a check up after and part of my original natural lens had fallen into my cornea. I had to have emergency surgery that day. Dr Cronin told me the extra surgery was on him. Then I started getting calls for money. You can't call them back they don't answer the phone. I finally went to the office and told them Iwasnt paying for their accident. Don't answer the phone and always plan on a 2 to 4 hour wait. Ridiculous.
I had surgery 3 months ago, my insurance paid the whole procedure, now they want to charge me $87.39 for extra payment for the Anesthesiologist. My insurance told me I do not have to pay anything, because everything was covered. I called today to reschedule an appointment and they denied the service to me. I think that's a very low way to rip people off. First of all I wanted to see the Dr because the last eye they operated, is smaller than the other one. I guess this happened because the day of the surgery, the Wifi was down, we have to wait 2 hours in that little bed waiting, finally the surgery started but I guess the Dr was in a rush and when he took the specula ( that thing to open your eye) I felt a horrible pain, I screamed and he apologized, but it was painful and maybe this was the cause my eye is smaller, a problem with the nerve. Now I can't know what happened to my eye if they don't want to see me because I din't pay that money.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Robert and Dr. John were both very attentive and informative, explaining the importance of proper eye care and how glasses help in daily life. Dr. John, who handled most of my vision exam, clearly explained how to use the drops and lenses. Overall, an excellent and caring experience!
