Don't go here unless you have the whole day to waste. The doctor is good and friendly people, but time management isn't something they care about. No such thing as an appointment if you aren't seen until over an hour later. This happens to everyone. Both waiting rooms patients are always complaining about this. It's unacceptable and should be addressed. Overbooking or lack of care for patients time isn't good qualities. After I am done with my checkups, I won't come back here. Will also be telling my refereeing doctor not to recommend them. Better turnaround at the DMV. Even the employees acknowledge it's always this way!!

I have thought about how to show my appreciation and how thankful I am to have been referred to Dr John Sullivan and Southeastern Retna, there is not enough room to leave every thought. I was within days of completely losing my vision in my left eye due to a detached retna and I never heard of one til the Optometrist sent me the same day. I was in emergency surgery in 3 days, then a massive cataract came in about 3 months into treatment and was starting another cataract growing in my other eye, I could not see 12 inches in front of my face, probably one of the most depressing 6 months of my lifetime. I have had a second Retna surgery and the cataract removed and have probably 80 to 85 % of my vision back before getting new glasses. My advice is do everything Dr Sullivan tells you to do and you will probably get the same results he gave me, I owe him big time and will always be grateful beyond any words that can be written and the Staff was very respectful and did what they could to assist in my time of need.

I cannot say enough good things about South Eastern Retina Specialists. Yes the waits are long, and that's frustrating for some but can you put a price on your vision? Not me. I'd wait in that waiting room for hours every single time if it means keeping my eye sight. And the staff makes it's worth it. They are all so kind and a pleasure to be around but we need to take a MOMENT FOR DR. SULLIVAN. I've never met a more kind, gentle, welcoming doctor in my life. He doesn't make you feel like a number when you come in. He remembers his patients. And he's kind with them and always makes me feel taken care of when I come in. He always takes the time to ask how you are and despite the large number of patients waiting he never makes me feel rushed. I am so grateful to have him as my doctor. If every single doctor had bed side manner like he did the world would be a better place.

They helped my son who lives with Autism. He had a retina detachment, it took 2 surgeries to reconnect. The Doctor and the entire staff were extremely accommodating. My son has issues with wait time and behaviors, they were very good to him and understanding. I highly recommend Dr. Sullivan, excellent Surgeon and kind doctor.

It is a new form of torture for almost blind people! Clinic stuff is rude. The over schedule pts. Like at least 10 patients for hour. They put patients in a small lobby, sometimes with no sitting possibilities. Then the dilate pts a put them into smaller room for the next 2 hours. Don't even try to find clarification for this practice, you will be barked, dismissed and ignored. Doctor maybe good, but their practice sucks! Avoid!

In my 70's and this is the first time I have ever had anything done to my eyes, needless to say anxiety in overdrive!! Dr. Sullivan made me feel totally at ease for and during the procedure. He also reached out on a Sunday when I had concerns because I saw flashes at night at the outside edge of my vision and talked to me about it and when I need to be concerned moving forward in the healing process! He is absolutely the BEST!!!

My experience at this office, is absolutely my last. We wait THREE full hours to be seen for less than five minutes every single time. My mother had surgery just 24 hours earlier, and they still made her sit for hours without any consideration for her condition.
The doctor may be good, but it doesn't justify the outrageous scheduling practices. They book 19 patients for the same time slot, which is completely unethical and a blatant disregard for people's time and health. It's not just poor management -- it's a scam.
There is no excuse for this level of disorganization and disrespect.
