Update: After 2 days, my eye was feeling much better already, since I only only lasik only left eye, the recovery time is much quicker. I came in for my procedure at 8:30, and I was done by 9:10AM. It was super duper fast and efficient. I met with Doctor Ireland, very professional and nice guy, he went over everything before we went in the operation room, and the machine pretty did all the work. Procedure: I took Valium to calm my nerves before I went in for my lasik procedure, because I knew I would freak out due to my fear of pain. But the actualy laser only took less than 2 minutes for one eye, and they used plenty of numbing gel and drops so I didnt feel any pain, just a bit of pressure. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. After I left the clinic, the numbing medication was still in my eye so I felt fine. But after an hour later, the burning and itching started coming in, I was not able to touch my eye so I took some Tylenol and forced myself to take a nap. Woke up 4 hours later, felt much much better. The next day, all the burning sensation went away, I woke up like a new person, I could see very clear now without glasses The optometrist followed up with me the day after surgery and then I went in on the 3rd day for my post-op appointment, the healing process is smooth and quick. So.. I would say this whole experience was worth it!! I highly recommend this Lasik institute because everyone at the clinic was very helpful, professional and friendly. Today I'm at my in office consultation that will be an hour to two long. So far, so good I've checked in at 9:25, and got called in around 10:25, the technician did the eye exam and consultation on which option to choose that will be best for my scenario.. the tech was helpful and the optometrist was very honest, which is great! I like people with integrity. My Lasik surgery is scheduled for next Saturday, I will update on how it goes and the recovery phase! I'm so glad that they open on Saturdays! The staff at the Jacksonville location rose beyond any expectations that I had. They are professional, personable, patient and made this whole experience positive for me. I went in for my consultation on a Monday with Dr. Duffield and had my surgery that Friday. Dr. Ireland was the best! I was very anxious and he helped calm me and talked me through every step of what he was doing. The actual surgery was not painful, but there was pressure that did not last very long. They go overboard with the numbing drops to ensure you don't feel anything which I very much appreciated! After surgery, there was burning, watering and much sensitivity to light as expected. It's been two days now, no glasses, I still have a little blurriness which should go away, but I can tell my vision is already better than before. I'm excited that I did this for myself after several years of wanting to!

I was very nervous about getting LASIK, but the entire staff and Dr. Hagan were so patient, kind, and informative!! They made me feel comfortable and safe, and the entire experience was very easy! I'm amazed at how quickly the surgery went, and I can see so clearly! I can see better now than I did wearing my contacts or glasses! Highly recommend! This has been a life changing experience for me!

I have 20/15 vision!!!! Amazing! The staff here is so kind. We had a slight hiccup with the machine bed mechanics on my originally scheduled date & they were so incredibly professional & reassuring with it. They had me rescheduled at a sister location the next day & the surgeon was top notch. My entire experience has been amazing. Highly highly recommend. Excited to be driving without contacts or glasses! I donated all my leftovers to a nonprofit collection site in their reception. Felt great :)

If you are considering Lasik, hands down, choose this office. Every single staff member was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I never felt like just a number. I never once felt rushed, and I had a lot of questions. I was super nervous going into the surgery and they were so calming from the time I walked in till the time I left. They gave me so much information so I knew what to expect, spot on. It's the day after my surgery and I went back for my post-op appointment, and I now see 20/20. Take my advice and book your life changing appointment now!

Went in for my LASIK consultation and the staff was wonderful. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Manny did a great job with everything when it came to my tests and putting drops in my eyes (which I normally a fight and he got it in seconds). Janet explained everything throughly and was very knowledgeable about the whole procedure and that helped to put me at ease about my surgery. Very excited to be coming back to get my procedure done!! Update: Got my procedure yesterday and it was amazing!! The entire staff knew how nervous and anxious I was about getting LASIK done and the made me feel super comfortable. Dr. Ireland was so amazing! He also knew how nervous I was and when I was in the room getting my procedure done he talked me through the whole thing, kept me calm, and let me know how much time was left. He did absolutely great. After I went home and took a nap I woke up and could see with no issues. It was the best choice I've ever made and the staff made it even better!

The staff was very friendly and informative. I love that the Dr. talked me through what was happening so that I was ready for all the different steps being done during procedure, which help me focus and stay calm. I haven't been able to see without contact and glasses for over 30 years. It's so amazing how everything is even clearer than with my contacts. It will be awesome to go scuba diving in the future with more freedom.
