Don't really service anyone,....it's takes 8 months to get an appointment. If you don't believe me just call, this is another attempt at the VA to just placate & not actually function. Call community care are go somewhere closer to home outside the VA.
We Veterans DESERVE MUCH BETTER, but sadly the money would just be pissed away.

Great Customer Service, however the GOVERNMENT should do better for the Veterans. I called to make an appointment and was told that I will get one in 5 months. There is no waiting list and I have to call back to check for cancellation to get in sooner.

Called to setup an appointment 27 minutes at position 1. I got someone on the line, told them I was scheduling an appointment. She placed me back in the queue at position 7. Total call lasted 1 hour 38 mins. My alternative is driving an hour away to Gainsville VA, but they answer the phones quickly.

Absolutely terrible customer service!
My father is 93 and is trying to see an optometrist closer to home. We had his primary from the VA send paperwork to the community service office only to be told now that we have to have the VA optical department send more paperwork. I finally after 45 minutes on hold speak to someone who put me back on hold and now I am caller number 7! This is ridiculous how they treat our veterans! And naturally no numbers to file a complaint.

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I have been on hold for over an hour. I was apparently caller number 1 and then got hung up on. I called back and was on hold again for another hour and have YET to speak to someone. As a Veteran I find this disgraceful and absolutely ridiculous that you can't hire someone that can do their jobs! I'm going elsewhere and will be filing a complaint.

Jacksonville VA Eye care (or lack thereof) Sucks...can't get anybody to answer the phone to get an Eye appointment...the reviews here sounds like some people need to be fired and replaced with people who actually do their jobs. Do Better!

If you go in person they are helpful. Booked, but helpful. They NEVER answer the phone though. I broke my glasses last night, and I can't get a hold of anyone to help.
