This provider and his team were phenomenal. I was SO SCARED! Let me tell you! I went back crying, my results were perfect, the healing was very fast. He was very nice and informative answered all my questions, his team got me in fast. Highly recommend

Dr Smithwick and he's staff are a rare treasure and gift to humanity. I couldn't get an appt for months to come to see any cataract surgeon, and I was at high risk to go completely blind from catarat complications after a retina detachment surgery. We called he's office and they were gracious enough to see me on a Thursday and he did an emergency surgery the next day on Friday.The surgery was complicated but results were amazing. Today I went for laser procedure of an area in eye that was too delicate to try to fix in surgery and the results was nothing short of a miracle. I can SEE clearly the difference from day to night. Words fail me because they are not adequate or enough to really describe the experience, care, love and support I felt from Dr Smithwick and he's staff. I Highly recommend him.

II had major facial trauma with severe eye injuries, and after numerous surgeries, I can't say enough about Dr. Smithwick and his staff. Words cannot describe what a wonderful surgeon and person he is. He has made my treatment so smooth and eased my fears and answered all my questions. His staff are equally great. The whole office is phenomenal from the front office to Dr. Smithwick. Other ophthalmologists I went to initially were more interested in making money. So be sure to ask questions and get second opinions , ask friends because ........reviews can be totally misleading as I found out.

My experience with this doctor has been absolutely amazing. I had a corneal ulcer on my eye which is the most painful thing I've ever been through and I had several Eye Specialists throughout Jacksonville telling me they could see me in 3 to 4 weeks. The pain was unbearable. I reached out to Dr smithwick's office and explain to them how much pain I was in and what I was going through and they made me an appointment. A half an hour later they call me back and made an immediate appointment for me to get in to see them because of what I was going through. I don't think I have ever seen any doctor throughout my life who has been more loving and kind and everyone in his practice is the same way. He ended up doing surgery on my eye and I could not be any happier with his care.

Dr. Smithwick is an amazzzzzing doctor. I was misdiagnosed from another doctor and he gave me the correct diagnosis and performed my surgery. He was very informative and patient and his office staff was so friendly and helpful as well.

Dr. Smithwick removed shrapnel from my son's orbital cavity when no one else would. In the office! Walked him through every step and told him what to expect. He is a wonderful doctor and amazing at what he does.

I never have had such positive experiences as I have had with each and every one of my visits with Dr. Walter Smithwick IV and his friendly staff. A professional that will explain your concerns with caring answers that are easily understood, he is someone who examines the problem at hand as he would if he was diagnosing himself and what would be best for him, what could anyone ask for more than that. My trust with his decisions are so comforting, he has my complete trust and you can't buy that...thanks Doc!
