I am a Canadian who needed to see an ophthalmologist because of an unexpected problem with my eye that had previous surgery in the fall. Dr John(a corneal specialist) used analogies to explain what was happening over the course of my 3 appointments. This made it much easier to understand. I will need another full corneal transplant which Dr. John was able to confirm. In the meantime, he prescribed some different medications not available in Canada. If I lived here year round, I would definitely have him perform the surgery.
If you live in the area, I highly recommend that you make contact with the clinic to set up an appointment. You will not be disappointed

Dr. Louis gave me my vision back after 10 years of wearing glasses and still not being able to see. His team is professional, friendly and ready to help you meeet all your vision needs. I go back in a few days to get the right eye done and can not wait!! I had the clear lens exchange and it was painless, quick and stress free. For anyone who may be nervous about having this done it is painless!! No issues and could see almost instantly, Thank you Dr, Louis and thank you to his amazing team from front desk to surgery staff. You have given me my life back!! I would like to mention that as a nurse, I did a years worth of extensive research on area Doctors that perform the procedure I wanted done. The doctors at St Michael's saved my eyesight! I went in for a routine exam in February and diagnosed with glaucoma. The original doctor, Brienen immediately stepped into action and prescribed eye drops for me. When that didn't bring my pressure down to an acceptable level, Dr. Louis recommended SLT treatment and another laser treatment.
My eye pressure is now down to an acceptable level that will most likely keep the disease at bay, thus saving my eye sight.
They have state of the art medical equipment, effective treatment protocols, and modern laser treatments. The staff is very professional and efficient and most importantly create a pleasant atmosphere for patients in an anxious position.
Dr. Louis was relentless in trying any all treatments that would get my eye pressure in a lower range to prevent me from going blind. He is a very professional but kind and caring at the same time. He explains everything fully and is very thorough and patient in answering any questions or concerns. I am very grateful that I came to this office and won't go anywhere else!

I accompanied a patient for their visit. While there the staff was friendly, the initial examiner was very patient and kind. However, the Doctor who calls himself Dr. John made statements that were not accurate. He claimed the patient had conditions that were not true. The patient did obtain a second opinion and that directly conflicted with his opinion. The patient received a new eye prescription with the second location and is seeing great. At the end of the visit the patient checked at the desk to see if a copay was due and was told no. They later received bill in the mail for close to $200.00. The patient was very insulted with some of the unnecessary comments made by Dr. John. So if you want to go in for a procedure there make sure you are getting the service you want and not being upsold a bunch of extra add on services that you never asked for such as eyelid skin removal. In an attempt to keep medical information private I am not disclosing specifics intentionally.

What a big waste of time. I had my insurance verified by them prior to making an appointment. Waited 3 weeks for my appointment. Arrived early and they made me call my own insurance company to verify.
After I verified my insurance information and waiting 20 minutes later, the front desk told me their doctor is out of network with my insurance. Seriously... you gave me the wrong information to begin with and then wasted my time telling me their doctor isn't in network.
Incompetent. I will not be referring any of my patients or players here.
Edit: I know for a fact they had my correct insurance information. My company has been using them for years. Somebody messed up and its okay to take accountability for messing up instead of blaming the patient for not providing the insurance information.
The truth is you guys hired a new doctor that was out of network. My insurance never changed. You guys just didn't catch the mistake in time. Take accountability and don't blame the patient for your mistake
