Coastal Eye Institute - Sarasota

We've had wonderful experiences with Coastal Eye Institute. They have seen both my son and daughter. The entire staff has always been professional, kind, and attentive. Dr. Silverman has been especially helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Coastal Eye Institute to anyone looking for excellent eye care for their family!

I am a patient of Dr.Abrams, that has transferred from his former clinic. After having my initial appointment canceled by your clinic, I needed to cancel and reschedule my new appointment. ( conflicting appointments)That seems impossible, no one from scheduling will pick up, I was on hold 2 different times for about 30 minutes each time, the last time the receptionist actually picked the call back up to tell me I needed to call back tomorrow , she did get my cancellation in , but I still have not been able to make a new appointment. Very shoddy office work from my point of view. Please do better, I really like Dr. Abrams and he is versed in M.Gravis , but if I can't reschedule appointments that meens nothing. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant. Everything else needs a vast overhaul! Update: Finally able to reschedule, we'll see how the visit goes, Dr.Abrams , I know will be spot on and helpful, hopefully the staff follows suit !

First impressions are everything... I called to see about becoming a new patient and see a doctor regarding my glaucoma. After waiting that seemed like an eternity on the phone on hold I got someone that must be having a bad day. I said yes I have a PPO insurance plan. I would like to know if you accept it she said yes I said great. I'd like to see a doctor. She said get your records fax them to us and will let you know if we'll take you I said, can't you get these records? She said no you gotta do it so rather than argue I said OK she said here's the number. I said I'm driving. Could you please email the information to me and she said and get this... I have no means of doing that ha ha ha ha she's sitting at the desk with no computer?? Anyway, her attitude was crap! I just said thank you and hung up. Stay away you've been warned.

Dr Khator is always wonderful but my appointment is extra special when I have Adriana as my technician. She is always very cheerful and cares about my eye issues.

Excellent docs and staff. Able to diagnose and treat most (maybe all, but I don't know what that means) eye issues.

I've been a client of CEI for the last couple of years. I've always found them very professional, with great customer service, and friendly. Their downtown Sarasota offices are easily accessible, clean, and modern. I've recommended them to many of my friends.

We've been seeing Dr. Silverman since 2020, and he always takes the time to make our experience a great one, even when delivering news we might not love to hear. He pauses to chat with my kids - whether they're the patient he's seeing, or they're just tagging along. Over the years, my kids (and I) have bonded with him over a shared love of Pixar movies and Star Wars. His medical staff is top notch. They've calmly supported my kids as they experienced new things like eye drops for dilation, explained every aspect of an appointment in detail, and don't react when a child has a tough time seeing a line in a vision test. Thank you, Dr. Silverman and Coastal Eye!

I was taking care of soon as I walked in the office. They were very friendly. The doctor is a great doctor. and his associates are great people too. If more people had doctors like this and associates. I can't praise the doctor and his associates enough. They're great people.
