Dr. Cornelius Halvey

I have been seeing to Dr. Halvey for many years. I would never go to another eye doctor or a surgeon. Dr. Halvey Performed my cataract surgery at least 10 years ago. I had a perfect outcome and still have 20/30 vision. He has always made me feel like I was his only patient. He has been professional yet warm and so qualified. I would recommend Dr. Halvey To anyone who is looking for an excellent eye doctor.

I only gave one star because you have to. Dr Halvey definitely has a side hustle working for social security disability. This is how he traumatized my partner. I had her apply for social security disability due to her lack of peripheral vision and high myopia. Mind you this is in 1997. It just so happen Dr. Halvey did the exam for social security. Less than interested he stated there is nothing wrong with her eyes. We already knew her eyes were bad but in between going back to Halvey for a second visit we went to have regular vision checked. She already had coke bottle glasses. The Optomitrist called an eye surgeon and made us go down there right away. I guess Dr Halvey didn't see the 756 holes in her Retina on the left eye and 433 and a tear on the right eye the surgeon had to laser closed. She was informed that they have to report the dept of motor vehicles to relinquish her license. Being responsible we went to the DMV. She was 35. When we went back to Halvey I had a couple words with him. He still put a negative report making her get denied and had to appeal. . By the way many years later you may have figured out that she had MS which more often is found by a good eye Doctor. Her eye issue is a different issue. i have to say you tore my partner up emotionally. She felt you made her seem like a liar and trying to make the system. I have thought of this from time to time. I couldn't remember his name until I sawwas no Google review back then. I hope this helps someone else with their vision or blindness. Especially if you've applied for SSD because of retinas that looked like Swiss cheese as explained to us by her eye surgeon. We did win the appeal after the retina surgery. Fast forward, she has a slice of vision left and gets shots in her eye. She can only see shadows and a small bit if she keep moving her head to grab it for a second. I can only attest to our experience with this doctor. I will never forget the fact that for a paycheck from social security he would sell out a patient whose eyes were that bad. As I sat here and wrote this I just realized my face has the look of disgust.
