Dr. Steven Bovio, OD

My husband and I have been with Dr Bovio for a year and a half- after my husband's stroke. The office and the staff are amazing! We have been thru ups and downs and Dr Bovio has stuck with us. It has been an emotional ride and I want to publicly apologize for a post I previously made out of sheer frustration and emotion. Today....my husband was fitted for his second pair of specialty glasses that enabled him to see almost perfectly. He was moved to tears and he is elated!!!!! THANK YOU Gulf Coast eye center!

One of the best retina specialists in town referred us to Dr Bovio. I can see why! The whole office is great. Very friendly, professional, and patient. Dr Bovio goes above and beyond to make sure everything is right and he is very knowledgeable. I would recommend him and this office.

I found Dr. Steven Bovio On Health-grade app. Based on his ratings I selected him as my Optometrist when I moved to Florida, the fall of 2020. Dr. Steven Bovio is very kind, caring, compassionate, and patient. I was diagnosed with "High Myopia" and with a "complicated stigmatism" problem in my early childhood. Due to work, I have lived in Numerous states throughout the years. The optometrist that I went to were truly Frustrated, and told me with my diagnosis of having high myopia and complicated stigmatism that "Radically" changed annually. That there was nothing that they could do for me. The best that they could do to correct my vision was very complicated, so I just settled for what they thought was the best that they can do to correct my vision was 20/40. However, Dr. Steven Bovio "Patiently" listened to all of my concerns. He genuinely cares about me as a "human being" not just an account number. Which to me is priceless! Dr. Steven Bovio has managed to do what "NO" other optometrist in my entire life since my diagnosis and that is that he has given me the perfect prescription for my contact lenses and glasses that no other doctor has had the ability to do so. My "VISION" went from 20/40 to 20/30. Therefore, I highly recommend Dr. Steven Bovio to anyone who's looking for an optometrist. The staff in his office are also very kind, friendly, patient, and excellent professionals!
