I read through the reviews and I will say that they seem fabricated. My wife and I moved out here and tried them for 2 years. The first time the prescriptions for our sunglasses were a little off but we put up with it. The second time, we did not accept any issues. Both my wife and I had similar issues but mine was never corected. I had to return there probably 5 times. I tried 2 times with alternate prescriptions and then the final result was return to my 4 year old prescription so I could see. I felt rushed, I felt like the problem was me, that's the way they made me feel. I would not recommend Dr. Carr. I don't know if their equipment needs calibration or whatever, not my problem. We are not doing business with them anymore so we are in search of our next place to try next year. Hopefully my review will be seen and it will help someone out. Really read these reviews. Dr Carr rushes you, and the final solution was for me to resort to my old prescription for a previouos Dr. at another location because I was seeing double for Dr Carr's prescribed glasses. Let the truth be told...

Dr. Carr is an incredibly thorough doctor. He is kind, gentle, and a great diagnostician ! I know I'm in excellent care at Eye Center South! Eddie is great at helping pick out frames that complimentarily fit my face. The women at the front desk are friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and so helpful! I highly recommend Eye Center South!

I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member named Linda. I parked in the lot for a short period of time where there were no visible signs indicating that parking was prohibited. Instead of approaching me respectfully to explain any policy, she ran toward me, raised her voice, and threatened to have my car towed next time. I left feeling disrespected and shocked by the lack of professionalism in how the situation was handled. Clear signage and courteous communication would have gone a long way in avoiding this negative encounter.

I have been going to Eye Center South for many years and have always found the staff very caring and helpful. They book up quickly, especially during "season" which is the winter months, so be sure to call way in advance for your appointment. You can also get your glasses or contacts at this location as well if you want.

Eye Center South is probably the best eye care facility I've had the pleasure of going to. Dr. Rivero is great, she always takes the time to share her findings and recommendations, and is great to deal with. Every time I get compliments on my frames I say "Go see Eddie at Eye Center South, he's a glasses whisperer". The frame selection is really nice I can always find a unique pair. My 7 year old sees another optometrist but gets her glasses here because she knows she'll be matched with the perfect frames. All in all a great experience.

So I had an appointment on February 6 went in to see Dr. William Carr this is my first time seeing him since Dr. Todd Morgan retired. I've been going to the practice for nine years getting my annual check up with My insurance for my vision and after horrific experience on this day, Dr. Carr build my medical insurance instead of my eye insurance, which has never happened in nine years and when I questioned the office and the staff, they stated that he built it because I mentioned that I was diabetic. I have been diabetic in the past, but I only went for an annual exam. and when I questioned the office and the staff, they stated that he built it because I mentioned that I was diabetic. Nobody in the office or the doctor told me that they were going to bill my insurance for medical which my deductible for the year has not been paid so instead it cost me $165 plus I found out that they build my medical insurance for $190 and then build my eye insurance for my contact for $106. My co-pay for my eye medical insurance is $10 insurance medical deductible is 30 so I was told I was gonna get a $20 refund from the office manager and that never happened because she stated that the doctor said he would not give me back my $20. I disputed this with my medical insurance and also with the insurance for my vision. They stated that it should've never been charged under medical because it was my routine eye exam and they've seen the last eight claims that I've gone to this doctor so beware of what you say and what you do in this office with this Dr that's there because he's charging for charges that do not need to be done. I found this to be highly illegal to not notify me that my insurance was gonna be charged for medical when I only went there for my yearly eye exam. I will be filing a complaint with the BPR in the state of Florida against this physician for the act that he has done. I believe that this is fraudulently done insurance wise I've also been advised that it's been fraudulently done. I'm just letting the community to know that be very careful on what you're being charged. I never went in with any issue with my diabetes that I just got diagnosed with and just started taking medicine for literally a month ago before this review stay away go somewhere else.

Caring, Professional Doctor and Staff I was pleased and surprised at the care I received at Dr. Morgan's office. The doctor and staff were friendly, thorough, skilled and knowledgeable, answering my questions, and not making me feel they were in a hurry. They gave me great suggestions for my new frames, again, never making me feel rushed--I got a style a bit different for me and have since gotten lots of compliments on my glasses. They handled my concerns about pricing and fit as well. I highly recommend!

Unfortunately, Dr Morgan sold the practice after he retired. His replacements are not on the same level as he is. I won't be back.
