Dr. Khator and her Assistants were honestly very gentle and respectful with me, although I was extremely anxious about my news that I already knew I was going to get they're pointing me in the right direction that I need to go through to help me. Thank you once again for seeing me at your earliest convenience and telling me things that I needed to hear unlike other Dr's I seen previously. After ten years of wonderful care and communication, I am now confused and discouraged. She failed to inform me she was giving me a medication due to progress of destruction from glaucoma. Several months ago, after the typical tests, she described all results as "good". I remember commenting "Good is what we want"! She agreed. When she suggested adding a different eye drop (that I had tried many years ago) she said it was one that now has no preservatives and would be good to add to my other drops. When I called to report the negative side effects from those drops, I said I would be stopping them. The person on the phone said, the doctor would perform Laser Surgery at my next appointment. I was upset and concerned. Laser Surgery had NEVER been mentioned. I said that she should not schedule me for Laser Surgery, and I would take the medication until the appointment. At my next appointment, I told her what had happened. I expressed my surprise and concern. She said "I would never give a new medication, unless there was deterioration." (She had not mentioned deterioration or Laser Surgery). In other words, she knew what she was seeing and planning, but failed to share that with me. While this may be a rare lapse for her, it was a big deal for me. I would now give her only one star as a communicator. My name is Brenda

Dr Khator and the staff are caring and professional, I had cataract extraction with upgraded lenses and am very satisfied with the results.

All the care and compassion that coastal Eye can give you is obvious every time I go in there. I see employees taking care of elderly people and making sure that they are comfortable. Dr. P. Khator is an excellent doctor and very concerned about her patients and you get the very best treatment at coastal eye. I have gone to her for 15 years and I'm very pleased.

In addition to being very friendly, Dr. Khator has always been very professional with providing detailed explanation for any of my questions. I have had successful bilateral cataract surgery with IStent implants last year. Excellent care. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Khator was an excellent choice for my cataract and Glaucoma surgeries. The office staff are professional, informative and friendly and the wait times are usually within 15 - 30 minutes of the appointments.
