I went in a few days ago for my exam and consultation before having cataract surgery on both eyes. The whole process was professional and everyone that I had contact with was very nice. Carolyn and Aerial were very nice and answered any questions I had as I got started on my visit. I expect a good experience when I go back for my procedures.

Physicians and staff were so helpful in getting my BIL in for testing and cataract surgery. He was on a limited time schedule when visiting from the Bahamas, trying to get all procedures and testing that he had put off the last 2+ years. Highly recommend. You are treated with the utmost professionalism. From check in to after care post surgery every interaction was reassuring. Carolyn Bassett was the Assistant who did the intake and initial exam. She made me feel comfortable, relaxed and answered every question I had. I felt confident in my decision after having a full explanation of the process. The surgery was smooth, painless and I am so pleased I selected Dr Welch for my surgeon. 24 hours later I see so well. No pain or discomfort. Eye Specialists are 5 star professionals.

Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida, P.A. began as a small ophthalmology/optometry practice in downtown Winter Haven in the early 1960s. Through the 1970s & 1980s, the practice continued to experience growth and diversity with the addition of several doctors including optometrists and ophthalmologists. After outgrowing their existing location, a new clinic and ambulatory surgery center were built in Winter Haven in the early 1990s and another in Sebring a few years later. It was during this time the doctors moved toward more specialized treatment areas, and changed the name of the practice to Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida, P.A.
