Besides waiting a little too long to get in to start the process...about one half hour...everything was good. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable, and the doctor also was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! I was there for about 2 hours. Much of the time waiting. I've been going to Lake Eye for several years. Always treated with respect and they are very thorough. I had two successful cataract surgeries with Dr. Holman many years ago, and he also diagnosed glaucoma at a very early stage. Now seeing Dr. Vasquez, and he is also thorough and keeps close watch on my glaucoma. Highly recommend Lake Eye and have sent several friends there who all share the same high regard.

This was my first visit to this office site, before I had gone to the offices in Leesburg. I must be honest and state that I felt this appointment was very impersonal and in my opinion very rushed. The gentleman who did my intake, Philip, was very knowledgeable and pleasant and spent time updating my records. He was very courteous and polite. The wait time for my appointment was not bad at all. However, when Doctor Vazquez came in, from that point on I actually felt like I was being rushed and he had many other patients to see and just wanted to get me in and out. I realize doctors are busy but perhaps to slow down just a little bit and make a patient feel like you are really cared about, at least for the 5 or 10 minutes that the doctor spends with you, would be a very beneficial thing. I feel there are more important things than making money, but as I left this appointment I felt like I was simply part of a money making project.

Dr. Jose Alfredo Vazquez is a Board-Certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who garnered his medical degree from Puerto Rico's renowned Ponce School of Medicine. While practicing in PR, Dr. Vazquez served as the Director of the Medical Ophthalmology section of Damas Hospital and as an Associate Professor of the Surgery Department of Ponce Health Sciences University. In 1996, Dr. Vazquez moved to the US to serve his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University Medical Center in Louisiana. He moved to Florida in 2018.
