My first visit at NGEA yesterday was excellent. Dr Kaufman, Hakkima, Bridget, Emily, and a couple of people whose names I failed to get... were personable, professional, caring, and highly skilled. Dr. Kaufman explained options I had never heard of despite my years of treatment elsewhere, for my "dry eye" condition, and he recommended one that is already making a noticeable difference. Lauren was patient and helpful with a callback this morning for a question I had failed to ask yesterday. I'm very Grateful that, with no prior knowledge of NGEA, I "happened" to choose it from the options available.

Everyone was nice. However, 2 to 3 hour wait times is too much. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00, I didn't see the doctor until 1:00. I was with him for 10 minutes. It was just too much, especially with a very painful hip. I was told that every appointment would be that way. The patient's time is important too! It felt very disrespectful. This practice is just not for me.

I went to an appointment on 12/2/2025. When I went to check out, I was charged a copay that I didn't owe. I mentioned it to the woman who asked why I didn't tell her, and I told her I to l thought she was billing my vision insurance, not my health insurance. She assured me that it would be taken care of. I have called twice to get this resolved. Today is 12/19/2025, and it absolutely has not. I had a follow up appointment at 11am on 12/12/2025. I showed up early, and their lobby was absolutely packed. It was difficult to find a seat. I waited 45 minutes, and very few people had been called back at that point. I was out of time. As I was waiting in line at the check in desk to let them know I was leaving, the woman in front of me had the exact same complaint. She was told by the receptionist that there were signs posted throughout the lobby that appointments can take up to 2 hours. There was 1, and, certainly, the appointment can take 2 hours, but that doesn't mean there will be a 2 hour wait to go back for your scheduled appointment. You schedule an appointment to minimize wait. I'd been here once in 2014, and I couldn't remember why I never went back. Now I do. I will never return to this or any of their other locations, and I recommend you avoid them. There is no listed email address on their website, nor do they contact you via email, making it more difficult to contact them. Their "reviews" on their own website are obviously bogus, as the names listed are almost all famous people of some kind ("Walt D. is one that really sticks out to me). Come on. Do better.

It's a beautiful place to take your children to get their eyes checked. The lady that worked with my grandson was not very\nCaring, she was in a hurry.He is only 6 years old?And she did not have the patience. Noah got his prescription and we are very happy that he's going to get some good glasses to help with kindergarten

I had two prior botched eye surgeries before finding Dr. Hayek at North GA Eye. He did a wonderful job and I am completely satisfied. I will be forever grateful that I am able to be out in public again with the utmost confidence. He has a professional and effective team. It was worth the wait.

I will not be going back there in the future!! I scheduled an appointment at 3:35 and waited about 45 minutes to be called back just by the assistant. She proceeded to dilate my eyes (which they've done every year). She then sent me back to the waiting room after my eyes were freshly dilated, and I waited another 1.5 hours to be seen by the optometrist. This was the longest I have ever waited at any doctor of any sort, just for an annual check. I arrived around 3:25, and didn't leave until after they closed. Around 5:15 I'm glad I didn't have any plans, because I spent my entire afternoon at that place. I was totally not satisfied.

My son had an appointment to see Dr. Weeks and she was great. However a 2 hour wait when it seem like there was only 3 other people in the waiting room is ridiculous. Then I go to checkout and they don't take cash. I didn't get a school excuse and now I'm on day 2 trying to get someone to send it to me as I live an hour away!

I was pleasantly surprised that I was only there from start to finish about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was great to see Dr. Kaufman again too. He's the best!!
