I had the MOST amazing experience. Dr Donald is bully and full of life . She's very informative , professional and very knowledgeable when come to eye care. The staff of young ladies are amazing . Thank you for a wonderful welcome.

I did NOT have a good experience today. I booked an appointment online for the Decatur location and it would not let me specify what the appointment was for, which was for Scleral contacts. Since not many eye doctors do sclerals I figured I would call to confirm. I was told yes, they in fact do scleral fittings at the Decatur location. I arrived and the staff was very outgoing and nice, but once the "comprehensive" exam started it was clear that the experience was lacking. The gentleman that was conducting my exam did not know what sclerals were and had to Google them, first red flag. Once the exam was complete I was then told this location does not do scleral fittings and that I would have to go to the McDonough location. Soonest appointment was for the 11th or the 19th. Frustrated, but OK because staff was nice I took the 19th. Then I decided that I needed to get fitted today so I once again called the number, same person. I told them the story and they seemed as if they did not care one bit until I was firm that I needed an appointment now, not the 19th, they were able to squeeze me in today at 330 in McDonough. While a bit frustrated I was relieved that I was able to get this taken care of without having to take even more time off work. After the hour drive in Atlanta traffic I arrived at the McDonough office only to be told that I would have to pay $600 up front for the fitting as they will not bill insurance, I have to. Why couldn't they tell me this over the phone? Then I think to myself, we'll I'm already here. Then I'm told once everything is done and my contacts come in it will be another $1600 and I will have to bill my insurance for that too. I have had sclerals for 4 years now and not once have I paid more than my deductible. Point is that there was horrible communication or lack of and little to no empathy about a new patient or their situation. Very disappointed. If I may add that I also have never been through an eye exam where none of the equipment was wiped down in front of me.

Despite the back-and-forth on me trying to figure out my glasses situation and how I can retrieve them I just want to say the staff is amazing and they're gonna do any everything they got to do so accommodate their patients and well-being of how you can get your treatment and your glasses right away.

Switched over to Elevated from Optiworld in decatur. Far better service, nicer employees, and a doctor who makes sure you dont leave with unanswered questions. They answer all your questions without beating around the bush and give you prices up front with and without insurance. Definitely would recommend for anyone using contacts or glasses. I use them for both.

I had a great experience at Elevated Eyecare Decatur. The staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was thorough. All of my questions were answered. There equipment was up to date.
