Reagin Eyes

A bit of a mixed bag. I was there in October and a fill-in optometrist checked my eyes and wrote my prescription. I had glasses made closer to where I live but they were never right. I went back to Reagin and had a great experience. Deborah in the front checked the glasses and determined there were a few things off. Then I had my eyes rechecked by the regular doctor and it turned out the first doctor had dialed back on my left eye strength. No wonder the glasses were wrong. I was not charged for the repeat visit. I will be able to get the glasses remade at no charge as I am still in my warranty period.

I've been going to Reagin Eyes for decades. The Reagin family sold the practice a few years ago. New ownership, staff and Drs have been fabulous. They moved just up the street in a fully renovated facility. State of the art equipment but still has the feel of a family owned practice. Everyone is so inviting, caring and respectful. Dr Wiliford is the best I've ever encountered. She is knowledgeable and very thorough in her exams - taking all the needed time to answer any and all questions. The optician I work with - Debra is also the best I have ever encountered. Knows her craft and does whatever it takes to make sure her patients get exactly what Dr Wiliford instructs. The whole place is top notch and goes above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied with your optical needs. Could not recommend more highly.

TLDR: if you're going to get glasses here check your receipt thoroughly and get everything you discuss in writing - don't get scammed by Debra like me. The initial visit was lovely - friendly medical and office staff, on time, etc. During checkout the lady checking me out pulled a pair of glasses from the wall and after discussing options told me the total for the exam plus prescription glass would be a little over $400. After I say no thank you to the glasses, since that was more money than I wanted to spend, this lady informs me that she is the office manager and can "do things others can't" and gets the total down to ~$250. I'm surprised the price came down so much and ask "that price still includes transition lenses?" she assures me it does. She then cheerfully asks me to leave a review and to mention her by name (Debra) - I say thanks and leave. A few weeks later I get the glasses and the lenses are not transitions. I go back into the office, speak to Debra who looks me up in the computer, tells me that she will get the correct lenses ordered and I'll get a call when they come in. After a few weeks go by I try to call the office. They are using an answering service and the guy at the service can only really help with scheduling or getting a message to the office staff. After a few weeks of messages not being returned I finally take time off work to come into the office so I can talk to someone who can tell me what's going on. Good ol' Debra the office manager again - but this time I'm told that transitions were not on my original receipt, and I'll have to pay $75 to get transitions lenses. I told her that I asked and she confirmed that the lenses included transitions before I paid for them. Well, if you're going to get glasses here check your receipt thoroughly and get everything you discuss in writing - don't get scammed by Debra like me. She told me she couldn't remember everyone she talks to. So now I'm out $$$ for glasses that aren't what I was told I was paying for because of course they don't take returns either.

My experience has always been excellent. I did not have to wait. I was seen promptly when I arrived. My doctor was able to explain everything to me regarding tests I took. I loved how thorough she was! I left feeling great regarding my visit.

Today I visited Reagin Eyes for the first time and came away with a very positive experience. My exam was more thorough than previous, all procedures were well-explained and entire staff was great. I did not feel being rushed through. Highly recommend!

Office staff was very professional and very detailed in explaining every step of their exam. Made me feel very comfortable about them knowing their craft. Support staff was very professional and got me signed in and verified my insurance in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend this practice to anyone seeking an optometrist.

My eyes have never been happier. You are an amazing team. I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you for everything.

Amazing experience, a last minute swap to Dr Lopp got me a little nervous. But he took time to explain and asked if I had questions. He took time to make me understand my options, without trying to upsell me anything. I'll definitely recommend to anyone who is tired of the feeling like a number in one of those vision franchises.
