Bender Eyecare

Today was my first time seeing Dr. Bender. The receptionist is really nice and enjoyed my visit! Can't wait to bring my child to see Dr. Bender. At times of check out I got baked goods from the doctor and you don't see this type of service. I will definitely be back for my yearly exam.

Really liked my experience here. Dr. Bender seems like a warm person and took her time with the eye exam and I didn't feel rushed at all. I didn't get new eye glasses but just had lenses changed. On the plus, loved the brownies. My daughter was overjoyed! Also liked that they hire young students for front desk. Seemed super nice. Yes, I totally recommend!

When you find a good eye doctor, you stick with them! Dr. Bender and her staff are very kind, attentive, and will take the time to answer any questions you have - whether it's regarding your eye exam, corrective lenses, etc. Don't bother with the big chains - book your appointment with Dr. Bender - you will not be disappointed!!

We always have phenomenal care at Bender Eye Care- completely professional, competent, thorough and the homemade baked goods make it almost too good to be true. Yesterday, Donald & Daniel usurped that high standard and truly went above & beyond to help me with a problem that was from another manufacturer and eye glass fulfillment company. I'm having to pinch pennies opted to filll my prescriptions from a cheaper, online company. The glasses were off but I couldn't say how they were off to get them corrected. Both Daniel and Donald spent time and took care to help me. I was blown away by their kindness. They didn't have to do that. Bender Eye Care and their entire staff are incredible!

I've been going to Dr Bender for many years and she is always extremely meticulous and thorough with her optical testing and eye/ retinal exams. I've lived in several states over the years and she is hands down the best eye Dr I've ever been too.

My recent experience with this optometry office was extremely disappointing. I called to cancel an appointment and was upfront about my financial situation, offering to pay the $25 cancellation fee. However, they suddenly raised the fee to $100, claiming a new policy I was never informed about. I have a text message from them stating the fee would only be $25. The person I spoke with was unprofessional, argumentative, and unwilling to help, even though I was just trying to get my daughter some contacts for one month. I felt completely disregarded, and customer service has significantly declined. I was ready to pay the $50 for the two cancellations, but being charged $100 was unreasonable. Very frustrated with the lack of transparency and respect. I am 100% sure they are not worried about losing me as a customer. I will not return and already found another doctor that's closer and cost effective!!

The ladies where wonderful, quick but not too quick, helped me understand and let me explain, checked for the wellness fo my eyes as well, very calming place and very respectful. She gave me and my family brownies as well. Do I need to say more? Its brownies. I love this.place and would recommend ( in the photo I ate one of the brownies already lol )

2 stars because the staff were all VERY friendly. However, unfortunately all the other reviews about the super fast eye exam and WAY overly priced frames were completely true. As a mother of small children who has a lot of trouble getting opportunities to make it to my own appointments, this was highly disappointing as it was a waste of my time. The eye exam itself lasted less than 5 minutes, so I have doubts about how accurate the prescription I received REALLY is. My insurance covers 100$ toward frames, the last time I bought some that covered pretty much all of them. My kids break things, including my glasses. I just needed some sturdy, generic frames that look decent on my face. I have medicaid, so I assumed anywhere that accepts my insurance understands that people on medicaid can't (or shouldn't be anyways) buying designer frames and paying hundreds out of pocket for them. Bender eye care carries NO affordable options, the least expensive offered to me was still $250 after insurance, and they were a generic brand. That is INSANE. But hey, I didn't make it a big deal. I politely declined and asked for my RX to just order some online. When I got home to begin that process, I realized that they never measured my PD, which is required for your Rx lenses to be centered and correct. So I had to to my best to measure it myself, with my bad eyes and no glasses. If you're loaded, go ahead and get your glasses here I guess. If you're normal working class, and you have limited time for appointments as well as limited funds, don't bother wasting your time here. I will likely have to get another appointment set up at another place and wait even longer for glasses now. Don't ignore the reviews that say similar stuff, I did and I absolutely regret it.
