Feeling completely blindsided by unexpected charges after my eye exam today! I confirmed beforehand that my insurance would cover everything, only to be hit with a $44 bill for an eye photo I was never told wouldn't be covered. When I questioned it, their response was, "we can bill you this invoice." Talk about unprofessional! I paid the bill, but I'm definitely not returning to this company. #Unprofessionalism #HiddenFees #CustomerService

there were two receptionists. the one on right was talking about another patient. Then a person working in back was talking to that same receptionist and when she went back to the back, the same receptionist started talking bad about her. very unprofessional! i decided to call the Clarkson in Edwardsville (my regular doctor whom I think is wonderful and professional) and was able to get my sister an appointment there. I told them we wer leaving and confirmed there would be no charge. she repeated to me "no charge ".

I had an eye exam at the Alton location last summer, and I'm still dealing with unresolved billing issues from that visit. I have called their local office and the Centralized Billing Department more than 10 times, and the experience has been awful. I was told a different balance every time I called. I have never received a bill and now a year later, I'm told I have an unpaid balance. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to any Clarkson location.
