I do not leave reviews. And honestly I wished I had paid attention more to the very low reviews then those fake positive 5 star ones. If you look at the low reviews they have a form of consistency. The lack of professionalism either being rude or sour attitude.
So I had gone here to get an an exam and choose glasses. First day, seemed nice. Was in then out, no problems. Told to come back 2 weeks to pick up glasses. Well I came back and the lenses just did not work right. Could not see through them. So then decided to ask for a correction follow up appointment to fix the prescriptions. Asked specifically if I would be charged because i understood are only allowed one appointment a year. Martin tells me I wouldn't be charged. Cool. I come for the follow up appointment and he's super rude. Was being very I guess you'd say "irritated" and "smart mouthed" like fixing problems and dealing with patients isn't his job. But I finish with the appointment and get glasses 2 weeks later. A month later they send me a bill saying I owe them for that prescription correction visit.
Very smart people. They know how this industry and job works. They send me an invoice saying they don't accept HMO plan even though they know well I use EyeMed. And in doing so they made sure the bill gets sent to me and not the insurance so the insurance would not be able to get involved. They also billed it as an appointment for dry eyes, etc. And not the actual reason why I went there, which was to get the correct prescription. Anyways, my big issue is if they had told me then I'd know. Who likes surprises. The communication was terrible. I talked to one of the woman and she didn't understand why I was confused. Kept going on about this is standard procedure for any health care visit to have a follow up appointment and to get billed. I understand that. But how am I supposed to know? I don't know your job or how billing works. She also stated the doctor does not have any say of how the billing works. Which also didn't make sense because I called about this issue and she said the doctor was willing to give a discount... so does he have a say or does he not?
They do not do business with good faith. They only want your money. They don't care about your actual well being as healthcare workers. Do yourself a huge favor and find a place that cares.
Great eye doctor. The eye therapy and concussion therapy is great. Highly recommend you have them take care of your entire family!!! I have three kids, two needed eye therapy only Dr Martin caught it in my youngest (we had been to three different eye doctors before we finally figured out what was wrong).
We have all been going to Dr. Martin for years. He was able to help my son with his vision problems when other Dr.s said he was fine. After one year of being in a bi focal My son's vision was so much better and he was enjoying school again and his grades went up. Now my whole family goes to see him yearly and I have recommended him to my family and friends.
My experience at Family Vision with Doctor Martin was one filled with enlightenment and joy! After struggling with focus issues my whole life, Dr. Martin was able to attribute a part of that to my vision, specifically how my eyes work when reading or trying to focus.
The exam was very in depth and Dr. Martin has an incredible attention to detail. He is friendly and kind, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my diagnosis so I could understand it.
My experience at Family Vision was like nothing I've had before at an eye doctors office; no one tried to shuffle me out in a rush and I felt like I was actually heard from the staff. The ladies at the front desk are true professionals. Janet, thank you for your expertise and being determined to figure out my difficult insurance! Pam, thank you for your kindness and patience!
10/10, 100%, 5-star would recommend!!! I can't say enough about my experience at Family Vision.
Dr. Martin treats our whole family, and we're not an easy bunch! I have kerataconus and my daughter has eye convergence problems. He's extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and takes great care of us. I highly recommend him to anyone needing eye care-- even if you don't have the quirky kinds of eye problems we do!
Called to ask if they accept my daughters insurance because she has a prescription all we need to do is walk in and chose glasses. Right away rude receptionist says "NO NO WE ARENT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS" i explained she doesn't need to be seen she already has a prescription and she sounds very unsure and unknowledgeable about what to do. Totally gave up.
I was referred by a concussion specialist to this location to receive vision therapy. I do not believe the care or customer service I received reflects the price tag I've had to pay thus far. I wouldn't recommend this office and I would personally not come back.
He's great! Everyone there is great! From the front desk, to the therapists to he himself.
