Emma from Visionworks in the Fox Valley Mall was very attentive to my needs she gave me the information that I needed and assisted me through the process. I went in very frustrated because I had purchased some expensive glasses and was having problems with it. Emma told me what my options was and I was able to get a new frame. She understood and I felt this though I was heard I really appreciate her amazing customer service.

Booked appointment days in advance, took time-off to arrive on time, only to be told that the appointment is no longer honored because I did not return their call to confirm that I am coming in. This doesn't happen even at the best doctors in town. Such a ridiculous policy. This was me giving them a try a second time after not having a good experience last year.
I am taking my business elsewhere. Never returning to this place.

We booked appointments for our 2 children online about 3 weeks in advance on 8/15. We completed the intake forms the same time we booked. Our appointments were scheduled for 9/8. We never received an email or text requesting for us to confirm. On the morning of the appointments, I received a text message informing me that they cancelled both appointments because we did not confirm. We called the store, and they confirmed our email address and phone numbers were correct. They could not accommodate our children even though the error was on their part. Poor business practice and customer service. We will not book with Visionworks again because of their faulty booking system, poor communication, and unhelpful customer service. The manager and representative acknowledged that "their system does this sometimes." This tells us that their system makes mistakes and cancels appointments sometimes. This is disappointing to know especially when we rearranged our work and school schedules for this appointment. They did not attempt to fix their problem when we spoke with them over the phone.

It is very hard to find a parking place near the store and they only give you 5 minutes grace period for being late for eye exam appointment. I was late for about 10 minutes and they kept me waiting til 5pm. And the store clerk was unhelpful and seemed uninterested in helping me. I would not recommend you to have eye exam with them.

Booked an eye exam about one month in advance. I arrive to my appointment a few minutes early only for them to tell me that they attempted to call me to let me know that my appointment changed to walk in status. How does that even make sense? I never received a phone call.
Anyway I'm told I can wait to see if the other person shows up or to schedule another appointment.
Why would I schedule another appointment when clearly they don't honor their appointment times? I decided to wait and walk around the mall. I give them my phone number and ask them to call me if the other person doesn't show up. They call so I walk back to the vision works only for her to say the next appointment showed up so I need to schedule another appointment. Mind you it only took me a few minutes to walk back to visionworks.
Complete waste of time. If you didn't want to help me with my eye exam, just say that? Instead of wasting my time

Today my son had an appointment at Visionworks Fox Valley Mall. We arrived on time, but the staff refused to see him, using the excuse that he was "too short for the equipment." This is absolutely unacceptable, especially since we watched them assist other children during the same time -- giving them cushions, adjusting the equipment, and making sure they could complete their eye exams.
In our case, they didn't even bother to try. Their attitude was dismissive, careless, and completely unprofessional. It felt like they just decided selectively who was worth helping and who wasn't. As parents, we felt ignored and disrespected. This kind of treatment is disgraceful for a medical/vision care provider. We will never come back here and strongly advise others to avoid this location.

We had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this optical store. My son, who is still young and not tall enough, could not comfortably reach the eye exam equipment. Instead of allowing him to safely sit on a chair to complete the test, the general manager, Desiree, refused and insisted that he must stand in a way that was clearly unsafe.
At one point, the equipment nearly fell toward his face because of the height issue, and yet there was no effort to make the process safer or more comfortable for him. From the beginning, we felt treated as if we were of less importance, and no care was shown toward my child's safety or well-being.
Child safety should always come before "principles" or rigid rules. It was very disappointing to see such a lack of compassion and professionalism. I left deeply concerned and unhappy with the service, and I hope the management takes steps to ensure no other child is put in such a risky situation.
