Chittick Eye Care

I have been going to Chittick for the last 32 years. I have always had great service and excellent care. However, as they continue to grow and expand that patient focused care is slowing going away. I tried to call and make a routine appointment today for my son and I. My insurance was up to date but my son's had changed. In the past the Danville office would look up the current plan for the local companies in the area and fix it. I was told this time they can't do that. That was fine, it's my responsibility to know my insurance, I get that. However where they went very wrong was refusing to schedule an appointment for him until they get that information. My son has been seen there since birth. He's 13 now. He is always seen at the same time as me and always has the same insurance as my husband for 13 years. They absolutely refused to schedule him, and this was on my 2nd call to them because I was on hold and was hung up on the first time. Im not calling a 3rd time to schedule an appointment we will take our care and business elsewhere.

Exceptional service from the staff at Chitticks Eye Clinic! From the moment I walked in, I was met with friendliness and professionalism. Sophia, the receptionist, was warm and welcoming. The staff members Cynthia and Debbie were wonderful, especially Debbie, who helped me choose my frames. She explained the promotion for purchasing two pairs, was patient, and walked me through every detail. It truly was a great deal -- thank you, Debbie! Dr. Jim Lohrberg was absolutely AWESOME. I have never had such an in-depth eye exam before. He was professional, thorough, and very precise. I can't say enough good things about him or this clinic as a whole. I was extremely pleased with the level of care and the friendly atmosphere. When I received the text saying my glasses were ready, Angie assisted me when I came in. She cleaned them, made sure both pairs fit perfectly, and confirmed that my vision through the new lenses was clear. Thank you, Angie! Thank you to the entire staff at Chitticks Eye Clinic. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs an exam -- and they have a great selection of glasses to choose from!

Dr. Lohrberg is excellent. He's very thorough and the only optometrist I trust for myself and my family. The service from everyone is exceptional.

It had been a few years since I had an eye exam. When I called for an appointment, i was given an appointment within a few days. The staff was all kind and compassionate during my exam!

Ordered new glasses and they came in faster than expected. Picked them up. They checked the fit and made sure I was happy with my new glasses.

Everyone on staff was very courteous and professional. I spent the most time with Morgan. She was so helpful from the time she explained my insurance benefits to helping with frames and then the final delivery!
