Krates Eye Center - Oak Lawn

I have been going to this group since maybe 2019/20. I would never go elsewhere. Dr. Luke is amazing-- ten fold. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. And I have to say that I have never waited more than 7 to 8 minutes to be called in, and of course if you are having your eyes dilated it's not a 5 minute process, so maybe 30 minutes is ok, and as far as billing goes, they let me know up front my charges, so that should not be an issue. You should already know you deductible and co-pay. You owe what you owe.

The doctors are great and the office staff is professional and courteous. However appointment times are a mere suggestion. I've waited with my dad well over 30 minutes past our appointment time. While I understand things can happen, it makes it a hard trip on a senior citizen. The reason we chose Krates is because it was closer than the VA, but we have waited just as long as we would at the Hines.

Krates Eye Center is a life saver, I had tremendous eye pain and knew there was a foreign object in my eye. Krates got me in immediately, the day before a holiday (July 3rd), when no other eye doctors would. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and got wonderful treatment by Dr. Farley and his nurse. Dr. Farley is extremely caring, understanding, and personable. He explained everything well, answered questions, and never made me feel rushed. I will definitely be switching to Krates for all of my eye needs. I highly recommend their office! It's comforting to know that they actually care and will adjust their schedules for eye emergencies when no one else will.

my treatment at the center re was excellent as was my doctor and the shoddy treatment was by a frustrated old lady receptionist at this particular location. just make sure u go to another location --- there are 3. Stay away-- use extortion practices for payment-- no appointments until you pay what you owe-- no warning, no payment policy at the start, no discussion, no payment plan- suddenly on day of appointment- even if you are making regular payments.

My kiddo was referred to Dr Farley after a visit to the ER. They were able to get him in immediately. I messed up the insurance paperwork, as we were new patients at Krates Eye. The staff was very gracious, professional, and helpful while I straightened out insurance information. I know it was my mess up, but they still did everything they could to help. I got it straightened out just in time for our appointment. Dr. Farley was thorough and assured us the eye was doing okay.
